Frustrating wait for NVC to receive NOA2

We've been having a frustrating time waiting for NVC to receive my NOA2 from Vermont. I've seen many timelines where it takes 2 days to a week. It's been 17 days for us and NVC still doesn't have it yet. I've called NVC and they said it could take up to 90 days to receive, but I noticed 2 timelines where the NOA2 from Vermont was sent after mine and NVC already received it and processed it. Wonder what's going on, it's frustrating.

Well, it's not NVC that gets the NOA2.

You get the NOA2.

NVC gets your petition, assigns a new case # to it then sends it to your consulate.

I was told the same infuriating thing by the woman on the phone (although I later found out it had already got to NVC), and doing a cursory search on the forums here, it looks like some contributing factors include USCIS sending cases to NVC in batches rather than individually, therefore not everyone who gets approved the same day ships the same day.

So sorry that you're going through this (F) This process wears on one's nerves...
