Hey guys,

Does NVC still sends DS-230 packet to the beneficiary?

Because when I printed the cover sheet from the online payment site, there's a instructions that you have to folow the link given in the same page.

Just curious, and also, during the interview do I still have to provide those original documents submitted to NVC? like PCC,NBI,MC and BC.

Apr. 12,2010- CA ID

Hi

Once it shows PAID the IV Bill, U can Download Ds230 at NVC website, they will not sent u a package..

Then Print the COVER SHEET Also..

They said, during the interview , we need to provide original PCC, NBI, MC and BC

April 19, 2013 - submit the form I-130

April 22, 2013 - Receive the NOA1

July 29, 2013 - Approved NOA2 ( 82 working days)

July 30, 2013 - USCIS shipped my documents to NVC

Aug 5, 2013 - Arrived at NVC Building

Aug 13, 2013 - Got the NVC case # via PHONE

Aug 14, 2013 - Got the Invoice # via PHONE

Aug 15, 2013 - Send my DS-3032 via Email

Aug 16, 2013 - AOS Pay

Aug 17, 2013 - Got an email to print the COVER SHEET

Aug 21, 2013 - send the AOS overnight at NVC

Aug 28, 2013 - Accept the DS-3032

Aug 30, 2013 - IV BILL pay and Documents Sent to NVC receive the checklist AOS.

September 19, 2013 Sent back the checklist

September 20, 2013 Sept 26, arrived @ NVC

Sept 30,2013 - already encode to their system

ADVANCE MEDICAL @ St. Luke - SEPTEMBER 23, 2013

CASE COMPLETE AS OF TODAY : OCTOBER 23,2013

NOVEMBER 1 , 2013 -Documents left at NVC - Your case is in transit to the Consular Section. Your interview date was provided to you by the National Visa Center

NOVEMBER 4, 2013 Delivered - Signed for by : CEZAR NARTEA

No they will not provide anything to the beneficiary. They will just send a letter, previously known as "Packet 3". Packet 3 will contain two links:

Link to get all the forms DS-230 etc.

Link for the medical.

Once you have got your case number the beneficiary can go ahead and complete the medical.

Really? I thought the medical wasn't supposed to be scheduled until there was a consular interview date appointed...

How long is the medical good for?

Wyatt's torch - the medical cannot be scheduled until the interview has been assigned and you have a letter from NVC - for Canada at least

So much conflicting information out there. I was initially under the (correct) impression that you had to wait for an interview date before scheduling a medical, but hearing something to the contrary briefly got my hopes up. Thanks for clarifying!

Yup, it's true, here in Saudi Arabia when I called the authorized Hospital, they told me that it's only good for 3 months.

In the Philippines, the medical is good for 6 months.

No problem, like I said - each country works differently so I can only comment on how it was done in Canada. Wait for your NVC apt. letter.
