Hi guys!

I would like to know a few things about the sponsor for the I-134 form.

1. Could it be someone from my home country (Germany) or must it be someone from the U.S.?

2. If a U.S. citizen is the sponsor, does it has to be someone from my fiancees family or could it be someone else?

3. My fiancees mum is already retired, could she be the sponsor anyways? How much savings does she has to have?

4. How much is the minimum income requirement? How much does the sponsor has to have on his bank statement? Does it count that I have some savings or my parents? Where do I find this information? On the instruction sheet for the I-134 form I couldn't find the answers to these questions.

Thanks for the help

1. Hmmm, maybe. But they have to be a US citizen or LPR. I suppose it could be a US citizen living in Germany.

2. For Germany, anyone will do.

3. Yes, she can co-sponsor. He retirement income counts and if it is enough it is all you need. If not, she will need to have $3 in assets to offset each $1 short in income.

4. Review trhe I-864P here at this site. No amount is required in a bank. If income is sufficient you are good to go.
