Okay, I have another little rant today. (I hope people don't think I'm just cranky & only rant about things all the time.) I'm mostly good-natured...I just like to b@#ch about things that bug me.

Anyway, hubby's father (the one who in 26 years never minded him even one time) wants to come up to where my parents live (where we'll be for the holiday) the Friday after Thanksgiving, pick him up that afternoon and bring him back Saturday evening! This irritates me on so many levels! Where do I begin?? This is our FIRST holiday together & the man wants to rearrange our plans for us! If it weren't for me & my parents, the man wouldn't even be able to SEE (one of) his son(s) here! I could go on & on & on & ON! Basically, my answer to his e-mail to me if that would be okay for him to do is to ignore it & let hubby speak with his Dad & tell him what's what. I'm glad he is getting to know his family but now his half-siblings want to get in on all of this & where the heck were they before??? Oh yeah, getting support from their Dad & a college education while he was back in JA going hungry & missing school altogether!

Thoughts anyone??

Ells - I know it's hard, and easy to be frustrated and judge his father based on what he has done in the past - But the bottom line to it all is that he is your husband's father - and whatever relationship that he has with him is up to your husband to control - if you interfere too strongly in it, all that's going to happen is for your husband to resent you for your actions - not his father for what he did with his life - You also can't take the attitude of that if "it weren't for you and your parents, the man wouldn't even see his son here" - Do you even know how hard it would be for his father to have filed for him? Especially if he didn't come here by 100% legal means -

There are times you need to just bite your tongue back and let your husband find his way and decide what relationship he wants to build with his father - because regardless of what he did in his past, he is his father -

I CANNOT BELIEVE MRS SQUITTO is divorced.. i know she is just another woman, but her being the pioneer on the thread makes her seem a bit iconic (in my mind anyway).. man, that is so sad..

hey jamerican... how school coming?

it's going well....love going to school where at minimum I get one massage every week. I have never been a fan of getting massages (only giving) but I am getting accustomed to it. It is a lot of learning...all the muscles, bones, systems, joints or the body...and my mind/memory isn't as young as it used to be...but...I am hanging in there. Thanks for asking

SUS......gonna send you an email....but until then....thanks for the pic's of my hubby BUT OMG....was he lookin like rainbow brite with all those colors??? We have this debate all of the time....he and I obviously don't have the same fashion savvy. We tend to like the same things but he just had a different take on what goes with what....ughhhhh

uhhhh NO, you can't be lookin all crazy when we are together...and don't want nobody saying they saw him lookin all crazy when I wasn't around.... I do the same with my kids... can't be all mash up and say you know me!!!

I have a question- what is the fastest way to get the visa IN HAND after approved at the Embassy..? Have it delivered? Or go pick it up? I'm asking this because I don't want to leave JA until Dane has the visa in his hands! Is it like 3 days or so?

We picked it up from Montego Bay. In general, I think picking it up saves 1 day over delivery. Picking it up in Kingston probably saves 1/2 to 1 day over picking it up in Mo Bay. Hope & pray for the best, but plan for the worst!
