For those CR-1 folx up here...how long after POE did it take for you to get the greencard and social security card. Lawd, my husband is restless and is ready to work YESTERDAY! :lol: Mi feel bad for 'im... :unsure: :ot2:

Mrs Palmer I don't want to scare you but it took the Gub'mt forever to send our Perm Resi card and damn near 6 months for the SSN. It seems that the paperwork was lost from the POE go figure! I hope you recv everything quickly just give the USCIS a call if you haven't recvd your welcome letter within 10 business days to confirm the status :yes:

Too late...I'm scared...I will not panic...panicking will commence in T-10 and counting... :wacko::wacko:

There comes a point in your life when you realize who matters, who never did, who won't anymore... and who always will.

So, don't worry about people from your past, there's a reason why they didn't make it to your future.

This is what I got out of him so far.

He went through security and then he went to a lady who checked his paper work. She only took my Info and the DS156,156k, 157, No Imped and Police Cert. He went and got his fingerprints then sat down until they called his name.

Questions:

1) Were you ever married before?

2) Where did you meet your fiancé?

3) Have you ever met any of her family?

4) How many times have I been to JA?

5) How did we communicate?

Congrats and welcome to America Mr. Brown. They did not look at any pics.

Dang C; G was lucky

I'm on the phone with my cousin now someone ran into their car at the gas station -- they asked him;

About the age difference between him and his fiancee;

and how many times she's been to Jamaica -- when he said 15 the lady said WOW and told him to go arrange for delivery of the visa...that was it. He said when she asked him about the age difference he nearly kunkie on his self and was about to faint, but he held it together

Lawny congrats to your cousin and I hope they are ok.

Speaking of which Steve is eating EVERYTHING that isn't nailed down... hahahahahaha I told him good cause Imma take you back to JA fat! He keeps sayin nah mon, but he was up at 2:30 this morning eating cabbage and drinking tea!! wth? :blink:

We are having a bit of a debate.. He can't sleep with the tv on and I can't sleep with it off...lawd what am I to do. I tried to compromise and was flopping like a fish.. I only got three hours of sleep and its making me a mad woman!!!

What about using the sleep timer? That's what I usually do & set it to go off after X minutes.

As far as the eating, we're facing the SAME THING. Steven is eating a zillion times more the amount he was eating in Jamaica, and walking a zillion times less. He doesn't really like vegetables, calling salads goat food, and he puts TONS of butter in his rice & sauces. I asked, How come you made so much fun of Paula Deen's fixation on butter & use this much??? Once things calm down (after the reception & filing AOS), I'mma need to sit with him & come up with some healthier options that he actually likes.

Now everybody lets keep the support going. My interview is up next Monday. :help: so nervous!!!

Mamajew...according to your signature your interview is on the 24th...that's next TUESDAY!! Lawd mi gyal--you wan us all fi be mad ooman waiting on Monday! :unsure::wacko::blink:

That's funny. I guess this process makes us all a bit confused here & there. Hope ya'll don't show up on Monday if it's Tuesday or vice versa!

I actually thought of that but he let me sleep for two hours and cut it off, I woke up and said "Why did you cut the TV off" :blink: Lawd I have issues! lol

Steve likes vegetables, he just thinks he is supposed to eat all dayum day and night! :angry:

Nat/mstee -- your your husband will learn on his own. It took my husband 3 months to figure out that yankee food puts wayyyyyy more weight on you that food back home. Just tell them what you have to say and leave them alone...my husband will tell you about his fight with donuts "cripsy creame" he ate so much much it made him faint then he got sick. He won't go near a dounut, sugar role or anything like that since. That was last year. With the veggies he can't eat his food without it...he only eats chicken or fish and he has to have veggies either mixed in with it or with the rice and Steven is not the only one that calls salad goat food.

Sunny got my husband loving green salads, so we eat that 3 times a week. My husband gained 20lbs the first month he was here and when he started to get a belly he said..."no man di no mek eeh" -- so he started running then pushing weight since. When it's nice outside we go for walks after dinner.
