I hope I am being overly paranoid but am looking for advice. I have filed the I-130 and it was accepted. However I noticed after I filed it that the date I wrote for my fathers birthday was incorrect. I am the petitioning for my spouse.

Does this matter?

How can I correct this if it does matter?

Will this came back to bite me?

USCIS will send you an RFE if they find this error needs to be corrected, don't worry too much.

Dec 15,2009 - Assigned interview date on January 24,2010!!

Jan. 24, 2010 - Interview!! Approved

Jan. 28, 2010 - VISA received

Mar. 03,2010 - POE, New York (JFK)

Apr. 12,2010- CA ID

May 20,2010- CA Driving License

May, 25,2010-Wife told me that she is pregnant ^_^

Jan.25,2011- Our daughter was born

Lee and Jen + Karenza

Thank you for the reply. How can I go about correcting this issue?

USCIS will notify you about it.

Prepare another I-130 with the correct informations at this time.

Dec 15,2009 - Assigned interview date on January 24,2010!!

Jan. 24, 2010 - Interview!! Approved

Jan. 28, 2010 - VISA received

Mar. 03,2010 - POE, New York (JFK)

Apr. 12,2010- CA ID

May 20,2010- CA Driving License

May, 25,2010-Wife told me that she is pregnant ^_^

Hi we are same situation, when i sent my G325a, together with my Hubby I-130 I found out that my

parents date of birth are incorrect, thanks god that i haven't receive any RFE..

but when it comes to NVC i already corrected there my parents year of birth @ ds230 form..

I am still waiting for there reply

Timeline for my Mother

April 19, 2013 - submit the form I-130

April 22, 2013 - Receive the NOA1

July 29, 2013 - Approved NOA2 ( 82 working days)

July 30, 2013 - USCIS shipped my documents to NVC

Aug 5, 2013 - Arrived at NVC Building

Aug 13, 2013 - Got the NVC case # via PHONE

Aug 14, 2013 - Got the Invoice # via PHONE

Aug 15, 2013 - Send my DS-3032 via Email

Aug 16, 2013 - AOS Pay

Aug 17, 2013 - Got an email to print the COVER SHEET

Aug 21, 2013 - send the AOS overnight at NVC

Aug 28, 2013 - Accept the DS-3032

Aug 30, 2013 - IV BILL pay and Documents Sent to NVC receive the checklist AOS.

September 19, 2013 Sent back the checklist

September 20, 2013 Sept 26, arrived @ NVC

Sept 30,2013 - already encode to their system

ADVANCE MEDICAL @ St. Luke - SEPTEMBER 23, 2013

CASE COMPLETE AS OF TODAY : OCTOBER 23,2013

NOVEMBER 1 , 2013 -Documents left at NVC - Your case is in transit to the Consular Section. Your interview date was provided to you by the National Visa Center

NOVEMBER 4, 2013 Delivered - Signed for by : CEZAR NARTEA

NOVEMBER 5, 2013 - CEAC Case Creation Date: 13-Aug-2013 Status Updated Date: 05-Nov-2013 Your case is ready for your interview when scheduled at the U.S. Consular section. You are DCF? Contact the Embassy where you filed (I assume Seoul ) and ASK the USCIS department there.

My guess is he looked at my spouses nationality(Chinese) and my filing location(Seoul). Anywho, thanks for the link to the timeline. I hope it shows up with this post. Wish they had a little smiley dude crossing his fingers.

His filing center is listed as 'Embassy' here in this thread. Not Vermont, and Not California. Embassy. Of course, NOW his timeline states 'Texas' as his service center. But when I replied originally, I only looked at the Service Center location under his name, to the left of his post (Not the timeline).

Back to the OP - There's a USCIS office , or at least a USCIS liason staff member, at the Embassy in Seoul. Since you filed through Seoul, I strongly suggest you make any amendments through the USCIS in Seoul. IMO, filing any amendment through an office stateside is gonna slow things down, considerably, as the paperwork flows across the pond (if in fact, it ever does ).
