MARRIAGE CONTRACT(SECPA)

Hi there. Can anyone tell me if its ok to use marriage contract which is SECPA? Is this ok? I went to Pasig City hall to get my Police clearance, instead of going to NSO. I just got my marriage contract in Pasig. To save money and time. Please let me know about this thank you.

You will need the NSO copy for the interview. We used a certified Local Civil Registry copy for the I-130 with no problems.

If doing a CR1 you will need NSO copies to send to NVC,,, if doing a K-3 you will need NSO copies to present to the Embassy,,, For filing the I-130 the local register copy is fine (That is what we used as well).

Thank you for your reply. I thought SECPA is ok. Because at the back of it, it says that is is also the same copy as of NSO. What if I can't get marriage contract from NSO? I went to NSO 3 weeks ago and they only gave me negative copy of my marriage contract that's why I just got SECPA instead cause they told me that its the same with NSO. Are you sure I cant use that on the interview? Please help. Thank you

Darling this wife of Edp, lahat ng galing sa NSO is original. So how come they will give you a negative copy? The LCR will forwarded your marriage contract to NSO. Kelan ba kayo kinasal?

negative could mean "no record yet"

stellar, it's always best to get and provide the USEM with the correct and specific docs they require, to avoid any delays or problem during the interview.

if you won't be able to get the docs in time for your interview, it's ok to bring whatever you have but be prepared w/ an explanation, but as much as possible get the docs so you need.

Thank you po for all your replies. I called USE and asked them about it. The lady told me its ok. I hope she is right. SECPA is also accepted she told me.

You should go to ur local municipal in pasig and request for advance in marriage certificate.and then when you get it go to NSO and pass your marriage certificate given by local municipal. per copy of marriage certificate is 140 php.. It takes two or three weeks to get it. you should wait...
