Yup, we're off to the interview on Monday. The champagne's already chillin - we're going to need it, either way!

Bacon! Has Mr Bacon done is his packet 3 yet? I'm hoping he has, otherwise, he is setting a new world record and you have the patience of a saint.

The question Mr K's girl got at the embassy, you have just gotta laugh! Just like the questions in the packet 3 forms, have we ever been prostitutes, drug dealers, child traffickers or committed genocide.

On Monday we all gotta tune in and send the vibes to our good Ms Laura J - her man has his interview!

Well, I didn't get a confirmation on it but he said that he'd have it all ready to go this weekend and sent off Monday when he goes in to work. Whether he actually did it or not is another story. But I did tell him that if he doesn't get it done this weekend then he is in for it.

Though he has finally reached some epiphany where he realizes that his tendency to put things off until the last minute isn't the best thing in the world and that he needs to stop doing it.

Well, were trying to nail down April 11th, will have finalized the details in the next couple days hopefully. It's exciting, I can finally visualize in my mind all the attention she'll be getting, from her getting the makeup, putting on the wedding dress, getting out of the car all dolled up.... finally seeing the fruits of our long wait come true, I'm really looking forward!

Probably talked to my fiancee for the last time yesterday ................. until she gets to America later this week. Hee Hee and she had her going away party this weekend as well.

Ham, finally submitted the P3 to the embassy yesterday. They should get it some time today. Though considering the post office was a block down from the embassy then I don't know why they couldn't just walk it on over.

We didn't include one item in the p3 packet so we'll probably get an email about it. But he put a note in the packet saying that his wedding cert was on order from the records department since his ex-wife kept the original. He added that he could either mail it in later or bring it to the interview.

We're really hoping the bend a bit and give us an interview date even though we're missing one item.

I have to say, I was worried that mine would be quite lax about getting all his stuff done with the P3, etc, but he's been efficient and diligent. Makes me feel even more sure that I've made the right choice of life-partner .

I hope you hear back soon about the interview, and he gets all the other steps done without delays or headaches!

Well, the only change is that we'll soon find out what happens if you submit a P3 with a missing document. I'm thinking we should hear back in the next day or two as to whether we have anything.

I'm just so glad the embassy does everything by email. Man, it'd be nice if the freaking Service Center did that.

Hey Bacon, now you're cooking with gas! I'm sure it's a relief for you now that Ham has finally turned in his packet.

It may interest you to know that we were also missing a document but were unaware of it until we went for the interview. Keep in mind this was in Germany, but apparently over there when you ask the Court for a copy of your divorce, they give you a stamped document that states the statistics like names, marriage date, divorce date, etc. It's all signed and stamped and acceptable as a legal document in Germany. But the officer at the consulate told us that the USA wants a copy of the entire original divorce decree. So she said we could just mail it to them and then they would send his visa, but it did not prevent us from conducting the interview and completing everything else that day.

I hope for your sake they will give you the interview date anyway and you can just bring that paperwork with you.

Oh, well that's comforting at least. I don't see why it can't be brought to the interview or just mailed in at a later date. I mean, he has to bring the Part 2 form and more proof of a relationship so why wouldn't they be alright with him bringing that too.
