Hello everyone,

The petition is for my wife in the Philippines... I paid the IV fee and i print the cover sheet with the Bar Code, also I download the DS-230..

My question is...Do i need to send again all documents with the DS-230, that i send when i file my I-130 like marriage certificate, birth certificate etc...

also.. in DS-230, my wife is in the Philippines, can she scan the DS 230 and EMAIL to nvc or She need to signed it and mail it to me and then i will mail to NVC with the cover sheet ?

I am confuse when i read some posters here when they download the bar code of ds 230 then the ff day they send the package..how could that be if your beneficiary is abroad..are they sending the package without DS230? that has beneficiary signature..

please help..we are almost there but now confuse?

Thanks

DS-230 must be original, some folks sends the DS-230 even before they got the approval from the USCIS.

You're wife should have dowloaded the DS-230 forms in the internet while the case was still in USCIS. In this case you don't have to wait for it. In this case tell your wife to download the forms and fill it up, sign (Part-1 only) and send it to you thru DHL.

Make sure that all documents are original at filled up properly.

Did you have her original NBI Clearance? Birth Certificate?

You can only send DS-230 when DS3032 (Choice of Agent) is accepted by NVC and the IV bill is PAID. Once it is paid, you can ask your wife to print the cover sheet because it is needed when she send her package. She can download the DS-230 forms from NVC website or here on VJ. There is a link here that will surely help her on how to prepare her package.

Here's the list on my DS-230 package that will be sent next week: (i'm just waiting for the bill online status to show PAID)

1. IV Bill payment barcoded sheet

2. DS-230 form (part 1 signed)

3. photocopy of passport

4. Authenticated Birth Certificate from NSO*

5. Authenticated Marriage Certificate from NSO*

6. NBI clearance*

7. QC Police Certificate*

8. Dubai, UAE Police Clearance*

9. 4 pcs 2x2 pictures

I am also sending photocopies of each documents and NVC case number written on upper right corner of all pages. And I'm sending it straight to NVC not to my husband. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Are you pursuing the CR1 or K3,,, Because the NVC needs docs for the CR1,, for the K3 the docs are presented in Manila.

For CR1 you will need Signed DS-203 (Not a scan) Original NSO BC and Marriage Cert, NBI clearance, etc as listed above.

Not sure about what you submitted with the I130,,, they only needed copies,, NVC needs the Original DOCs.

Regards,

Have a look here ? http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/...he_NVC_ShortCut

It's long and intense - I suggest about an hour of reading it, mapping out 'your plan' on paper.

as for Documents for the DS-230 - they must be the originals. Plus a Copy.

Good Luck !

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
