CFO questions.... again

Hi!!! I already had my CFO done last June. They said I could do it before or after getting the visa so i decided to do the counseling and will just go back there for the sticker. I had the seminar in PRISM. I had to go back because she asked for fiance's divorce decree. She also asked me to bring some photos, which I always have in my bag (wallet size photos)...I don't know if PRISM is better than St. Mary's or vice versa.

She will also need to fill out a form asking some info about the petitioner and the beneficiary like education, occupation, religion...The lady there even asked me to write the maiden name of my fiance's mother.

Good luck....

Calm Down, Just because you know the partial answer to a question, Don't get all excited and jump and start posting.

They key to the OP is his Fiance is only 21 years old.

So she should have a Notarized Signature from her parents which allows consent to marry

i read on their website under what u need to bring they said if under 24 they need consent from parents to marry overseas notarized!!! do you believe that!!!

No I don't think they will ask for that, Nor have I seen them ask for it.

Per Philippine Family Code, 22 to 24 or 25 needs Parental Advisement

Now what is Parental Advisement, Who in the heck knows?

You can Google Philippine Family Code and read all about it

hi! I thought i'd throw in my Qs. My fiance and I are both 23, still single, never been married, should we still provide any proof of singleness for him? oh yeah, he's in okinawa so i think that would be hard to get.

I was reading the cfo website, I ddnt know they would still require a NBI clearance

yep, they require photocopy of NBI clearance and ur birth certificate :)

When we talk of St. Mary's and PRISM locations of CFO Office, are we talking about in Manila?

Also, how much is the fee to attend the CFO seminar?

:star:

Yes, they are talking about Manila. It's been awhile since my wife done her CFO, so I am not updated on the cost. Here is a link for you.. http://www.cfo.gov.ph/

Thanks a lot for the link. Said the current cost is 250p.

EDIT:

Someone earlier said go to the city hall and find the civil registrar, and they will have a parental consent form that should also be signed by the civil registrar.

Ok...I'm looking for some specifics of CFO Seminar.

My fiancee has plans to go to PRISM because it is close to where she will be. Should she go to St. Mary's instead?

She is 21....will she need anything from her mother?

What papers and how many copies should she bring?

Is PRISM or St. Mary's better?

Just trying to nail down some answers at one time. :) She is planning to go Oct 7th.

Thanks for any help.

I'm not sure abour Prism, but I can tell you this much St. Mary's is not as strict.

Hi everyone..I was just on the CFO PI website inquring something when i opened up VJ and saw the discussions.

So when is the right time to get a CFO sticker? I am planning to apply a passport in DFA Manila using my husbands lastname before we file a DCF in USE Manila. I know this is K1 forum...i just want to know abt the CFO sticker pls..

Syas on the applicaton form of passport that needed to bring marriage contract and CFO sticker to be able to get a passport those spouse are foreign national....

for navywife:

If you are planning to apply for a new passport in your married name, yes you are required to attend the CFO seminar first.. you can attend at Prism in Taft ave. or at St. Mary’s in QC whichever is closest to your place.. after the seminar they will be handing you 2 certificates, the yellow one and the green one.. you need to present these certificates to DFA once you applied for a new passport.. about the sticker, you have to return to CFO office when you receive your visa..

I just had my seminar last aug’09 and i was reminded by the CFO personnel to return to their office to secure the CFO sticker as soon as i get my visa..

God bless!..
