26 days at NVC?

Hello

I received the NOA2 for my I129f, it was dated September 2. The Post Office forwarded the notice to my new address (I moved from Virginia to Kansas).

Now I just called the NVC and their automated answering system, and they have "no record" of my NOA2.

Is it normal to wait this long for the NVC process?

Is there a backlog at NVC now that Vermont has processed a lot of I129f's recently? (I received the NOA2 a couple of months before I was expecting it).

Actually, I shouldn't be skeptical. I once wrote a letter to the Deputy Director of the INS (this was in pre-internet days) about the blockage of my fiance's visa. He had a Hispanic last name. I implied my girl was Hispanic (actually Filipino) and within a few days I was called in for a "meeting" with the director of the Arlington(Virginia) INS office. She said she wanted to meet me (the guy who caused her all this "trouble") and she was like, "I'm only approving this because I got a call from my superior. I don't have any choice (poor me)..." What a bureaucrat!

I just called them and spoke to someone. Scott Thuy is right, they may have it there, but it is not on the automated system. Also the lady told me that they won't notify me when it is finished processing, they only notify the fiance, after the embassy gets the paperwork.

I would call them and speak to someone, if you haven't done that. They are open until midnight, Eastern.

Your dollars at work.. on the second shift,,,,

Just curious, what is "dam hoi"?

I CONTACTED MY CONGRESSMAN YESTERDAY, AND HE CALLED USCIS AT THE VERMONT CENTER, HE TOLD ME THAT THE IMMIGRATION OFFICER AT VERMONT TOLD HIM THAT ON SEPTEMBER 2 2009, VERMONT APPROVED A LOT OF CASES AND THAT THEY HAD A PROBLEM WITH THEIR MAIL COURIER, AND THAT IT MAY TAKE A WHILE BEFORE THE NVC WILL GET OUR CASE.

Not sure if your question is for me...Yes, they have received it. They are processing it. She even asked for my fiance's e-mail.

You trust the word of a lawyer (Congressman)? I mean, it seems like X talked to Y who talked to Z and....

You did talk to someone at NVC yourself?
