Very welcome! I signed up to receive alerts quite some time back. I'm sure others here get them too, but thought I'd post it in case others didn't know. Thanks for suggesting I make a new post - still early here and I didn't think about it..lol

Oh I should let Jordan do that tomorrow since he just went to bed. The time difference is ridiculous. How did you and Merlaine do it? LOL. I made him follow VJ on Twitter for updates. Hey, I can't blame you for that. I think like "Dory" regardless of the time and I'm only 22. My neurons are depleting.

Have you filed anything yet? What type will you file for? Jordan will file ours in October and I don't really want to rush him since I can't just drop my job like a hot potato. (I work for a Presidential candidate so it's hectic.) If it is of any help, use Skype since you'll get to do video calls for free. Also, tell her to purchase a Sun Cellular sim card since it charges only Php 1 a text instead of 10-15 a text. The texting would still cost you though.. Hihi. The disparity of the rates in the Philippines and the States are clearly vast.

Hold on to your faith even if at times you feel that it's dwindling because without it, you'll be lost. I believe in fortitude and if your relationship is strong enough, it will withstand the long wait.

I went fairly well prepared. We use windows live for web chat/video and I took a Magic Jack with me on the advise of others here on VJ...thing is a godsend!! It works really well, provided her internet and power do..LOL Before I left, I bought a cheap phone and a Smart Buddy sim, then activated it to roam. She sends me texts on that phone @ P1 each to her and I can answer her on my AT&T plan for .10 each so it's fairly cheap. I also have BiteSMS on my Iphone for the times that WiFi is available and it's .05 per text with that.

I haven't filed yet, but plan to file an I-130 very soon. She's gathering the documents that I wasn't able to get before I left and should be able to send those to me this coming week. Once I receive those, I plan to file shortly after. I'm still really torn though. We'll just have to see what the next few weeks brings, but there's a strong possibility that I may just go there and expand her little business. Time will tell how the chips will fall. I know I REALLY miss her and I miss the Phils so who knows!!

Looks like you've been spending a fair amount of time on this site, eh? Jordan is the one who's mostly online and I only got access of the password this afternoon since I spotted a thread I wanted to respond to. Some people are blatantly rude on here. Anyway... My fiance uses AT&T as well so it's convenient for us both. Technology is always one step ahead. In our case, you've got to love that.

Jordan will be filing for a K-1 in October and we've got our fingers crossed for a target of 4 months. Once you have all the mandatory documents in hand, I'm sure you won't be as antsy anymore. Just knowing that it's being processed would be a huge weight lifted off your chest. There are great investments in the Philippines, especially in the food industry. Lets see how things pan out. :D
