I'm sorry for all the questions. I'm tired and confused lol. Too many big words at once hahaha....anyway... I'm reading over the packet 4 info from the Delhi embassy website and it says applicant divorce records. Does that mean that he doesn't have to submit my (petitioner) divorce records at the VFS? Up until just now I thought he did but I could have been reading it wrong all along. I submitted my divorce records with the petition. Does he need to submit them again at the VFS or the interview?

And since you're here, all the proof of relationship items that are submitted to VFS, does he get those back? I put together a really nice scrapbook of my last trip there and I would love for him to be able to use it, but I want it back. Can he just take it to the interview? Thanks!

January 2009 - K-1 Denied by the consulate

January 2011 - Moved to India - Yikes!

October 2011 - DCF filing rejected by overzealous employee at the embassy

December 2011 - Tourist visa denied (not surprising)

March 2012 - CR1/IR1 process started

May 1, 2012 - RFE and some of our information was entered into the computer wrong by the CSC

All the papers they ask you to send them, you should keep a original for yourself or have two originals.

I suggest that you send all copies of the papers asked and keep the original ones for the interview. All you should take all your papers (yes, the same ones you sent) to your interview.

YOu don't get any evidence sent to USCIS back, so I strong suggest that you 'shouldn't send original docs.

Hey ms_jinga_lala, isn't that what we all come here for in the first place? To ask questions and give answers based on each others experiences? :) Besides, when you ask questions, you're at the same time helping others who may have these same questions on their minds.

No you don't need to re-submit your decree, just him. Besides, I believe you already submitted a certified copy of your divorce decree to the USCIS when you mailed the I-129.

As for your scrapbook (which sounds very nice), yes, you sure can take it with you, but don't bet on the CO looking at it. When my fiance went for his first interview and sat the addittional docs down on the counter, the CO told him to put them away, that he wouldn't be looking at any documents that day. So, it depends on their moods I guess.

To make it more probable that your evidence is actually looked at, would be to submit them all at the VFS, everything you can that proves the legitimacy of your relationship. This will give the CO more time to review them because at the time of interview, they are very busy and not likely to take time to do that. So be safe rather than sorry and go with the VFS.

Thank you for your replies! I did send him copies of everything I submitted with the I129F and some files he would need for this part of the process. Sometimes you read so much on all this stuff the words just start to run together lol.
