Just a Curious Question Regarding NOA2

I was reading the post today that VSC has been really pushing through some approvals in less than two months. That is great for those applying to that center. My question has to do with what I have noticed very often with applicants from the Philippines. Why do their approval times seem so much faster than for China? I notice this for all stages...or am I just biased? Just a curious question..... whistling.gif

this is because China has too many people and Guangzhou consulate processes many other different types of VISA as well, Guangzhou consulate is one of the busiest consulate in the world also China is considered high fraud so they take their time doing things...

Thanks for the replies, I had my assumptions of numbers due to only one consulate processing everyone, but it even seems that they get through the NVC stage faster as well. I will be patient...no reason to get upset, the time can be well spent making sure all arrangements are ready for her arrival and that the paperwork is perfect and ready to go for the embassy. Thanks guys! good.gif

Guangzhou is a busy Consulate but that has absolutely nothing to do with how fast USCIS adjudicates cases for China. USCIS is part of the Department of Homeland Security. The Consulate is part of the Department of State. Delays for China are after petition approval, not before. China cases may get delayed at USCIS due to name check problems associated with common names etc. but not simply because the beneficiary is from China.
