Quick Question About Age & Montreal Timeline...

So, we've happily received our NOA2, package has been sent on to Montreal, etc etc, but I'm a little concerned about the fact that it's a 4-6 month wait for an interview.

Outside of the fact that I'd obviously like to see myself home with my fiance before Christmas, I'm wondering... if, Heaven forbid, I find myself looking at an interview past my birthday (mid-March), will my turning 21 cause any problems in our application? I know for K2's, this is an issue, as it's harder for them to obtain visas on those grounds... but what about the beneficiary herself?

I do know that it's a worst-case scenario that we could find ourselves with an interview date THAT late, but I like knowing obstacles before we cross them. If this is going to be an issue, should it arise, better to know now.

Why would you having a birthday change anything? Everyone has them! LOL Its not going to make any difference. Our NOA2 came December 19th I think, and our interview in Montreal was April 17th. We allowed for the Christmas slow down as the reason why our interview was not until April. I used the time to start getting my affairs in order before the move. It seems long because your waiting. Take the time to spend time with family and friends if your the beneficiary and if your the petitioner, get ready for your honey. My sweetie worked on the yard waiting for me to get there. Built me a swing since he knew I was going to miss mine, then he made me a wishing well and filled it with flowers, built some birdhouses and put them around the property. He had all kinds of flowers planted. It kept him busy and passed the time before I got here. Take care and good luck with the interview.

Not a problem at all, it's only for people petitioning children that it becomes an issue. Once a child reaches 21 their visa category changes, hence the rules there. Not an issue for fiancee visas.

Yeah, my question wasn't regarding birthdays in general, simply that I knew for children of spouses/fiances the magic number of 21 can be an issue, so I was curious, is all.
