Hello everyone!

My husband is a perm. resident with a card since Mar '05. We are appling for citizenship based on being married to a U.S. Citizen for 3 years.

My husband came back to the US on a K Visa in '04. He was in Turkey and we got the waiver of his J1.

My question is - Part 7 A. states to list time outside of the US for the past 5 years. Are we suppose to list 2 years in Turkey?

I am confused on this since we are applying based on the 3 year married to US Citizen.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

If you are applying based on the 3 years of marriage wherever the form says 5 years read it as 3 years.

Just wondered where you saw that information? Sounds right but I couldn't find any info and put the last 5 years for both employment and addresss's.

K1 denied, K3/K4, CR-1/CR-2, AOS, ROC, Adoption, US citizenship and dual citizenship

!! ALL PAU!

The old USCIS web site before they put the new one up couple days ago. Was in the N-400 FAQs I think. Also seen others post here and on another board that if using the 3 year marriage qualification you read all 5 year questions as 3.

In my case only been in the US 33 months and my previous employer was from 1976 so it only mattered for trips outside the US. Hasn't been queried so far.
