There's a coupla ways..

1. IF they are broadcasting it live, you can pick it up on the online cctv9 web portal. (drill around on cctv.com )

2. IF you have the time, you can get a FTA system from Sadoun Satellite that has the right stuff for all of the CCTV channels, then watch it on CCTV4 ( google sadoun satellite CCTV4 for their website ) - prepare to spend 200 for the stuff, another 100 for installation.

3. Find someone with the FTA system, beg them to let you watch it at their house.

it's called putting things into perspective, and reminding of the truth. the conversion to communist government has brought china out of the agricultural age and into the industrial age for 30% of the population, but at a cost of 30-50 million lives, depending on how you write it. 30-50 million people you have no sympathy or compassion for because they were not in your "courtyard".

Does anyone have any plans to return to China soon? If so, I REALLY recommend flying on Asian Airlines. The flights are typically cheaper (especially the red eyes) and the food is much better and the attendants are easier on the eyes.

there were never more than about 3-5 million indians in north america at any time before the introduction of colonials, and most indigenous people who died in the years thereafter were victims of disease brought by the colonials. the same diseases were introduced to europe with resultant 50% mortality rates by travelers who had business with the asians around the time of the later crusades.

if you want to draw a closer parallel to my point you should consider the civil war of the 1860's. in that war approximately 750 thousand people died in conflict. they were not, however, taken from their beds in the middle of the night by state police and summarily executed after torture, or beaten to death by the state sanctioned mobs of the "cultural revolution". they died like men, with guns in their hands.

as for chinese stews, hell yes they are much nicer and easier to look at than those on united, which i usually fly. china eastern has the prettiest girls. they all have dazzling smiles.

The population was decimated by genocide, slavery, and disease (Well documented and sourced in A People's History of the United States). Americans do not celebrate that with Thanksgiving, we celebrate the fact that we would have all died off if it weren't for their kindness. After that we slaughtered them.

I don't know where everyone's wives or fiancees live, but mine is in Chongqing. They have really cleaned the streets and put out the decorations! They claim 11 million potted plants in Chongqing have been posted around the city. Thanks for the information about coverage of the national day, it will be an interesting perspective to watch.

BS. you can find a book that says just about aything you want to read, and if they were written by modern socialist revisionists, few of them are accurate. texts from the 19th century that i have were written much closer to the moment in question, and indicate 3-5 million. some modern texts agree.

there were 3-5 million indians in what is now the US at the time of the colonisation. very few of them were killed just because they were indians, so genocide is out. if you wanna talk about indian slavery, you need to talk about the spanish colonisation of central and south america, where slave labour could be put to good use . as i stated, disease was the major cause of population loss. hispaniola is a wonderful case in point, with 90% population loss in the first 20 years. this was unintentional, and the fault of the same diseases that had decimated europe centuries earlier, coming to europe through trade with the east. we don't blame asians for that, do we?

as for slaughter, there was a little of that on both sides. lots of settlers were killed by indians just because they were european stock, doing what european settlers do (farming). in retaliation, lots of indians were killed, until there was peace on the frontier. don't matter which way you get killed, tomahawk or rifle, you're still dead, but i'm sure the tommy hurts more.
