Hello All,

We were just beginning to think it would be months and months before we even get an interview date because the emails from the embassy kept saying "We have received the required forms from Mr. **** and hope to schedule him in the forthcoming months".

Well last night I was talking to my fiance and his neighbor comes to the door to borrow some tool he needed to use for his home improvement project, so my fiance goes to where his back 'side' door is to get to where his tools are locked up and there on the floor is this envelope. He picked it up and it was from the Embassy with our new Interview date, set for October 29th.

Apparently, the mailman must have thought it too important to leave at the front door like usual, and slid it under the side door instead. My fiance hadn't been anywhere near that door for days! The date on the letter says 16th Sept. 2009. Since it takes only about 1-2 days to get mail from New Delhi, we figure it was probably sitting there for at least 4 to 5 days, lol, go figure.

Also, I have a Question:

Here is a copy of the Interview letter and it states (see below) there is a Medical Appointment? as well but no Physician or address is listed. Whats up with that? Sounds like they either made him an appointment, or is it just informing him to have it done that day in particular? Is this normal now? This wasn't on the 1st interview letter we received last year and so I'm at a loss what they mean exactly. Has this been on anyone else's interview letter?

Thanks, and also for your kind words, they're very much appreciated.

I was making so many calls and anything I could think of when I first learned they sent it back on the 2nd of January,it's kinda foggy, but if I remember correctly, it was consistantly checking the case status page on USCIS website that I learned of their (USCIS) actually receiving the returned petition for further review on Feb 4, 2009. The actual notice my SO received from the Embassy was about 2 weeks after he submitted the additional documentation requested when placed on AP and it was in the form of a 221(g) that only stated the CO still wasn't convinced of the sincerety of our relationship, additonally that it was due to the validity date on the petition having expired.

Then, on June 4th, 2009, They reaffirmed it and sent me a new revalidated approval letter. They never told me what the CO said about our case as to 'why' he sent it back, so we are assuming that it wasn't important, or aren't worried about it because whatever it was, they cannot use the same excuse twice unless they have hard proof to back it up.

Ask me anything, anytime and I'll be happy to help if I can.

I'm truely sorry that you're having to go through this too and wish I could help you more.

 congrats

Thanks for the Congrats, kaushalia, I appreciate it a lot! :)

Have him just do the regular medical exam again - pick any of the consulate approved doctors, the bloodwork, and the xray. My understanding from speaking with the consulate pertaining to my SO was that they need a medical that is less than a year old OR will be less than a year old at time of entry in the US.

The whole statement about medical exam at the bottom is sort of misleading.

Good luck and I'm soooo happy you got your date.

Hi Lauren! :) Thanks and I'll be just as happy when you and your SO get that visa in your hands! You guys deserve it after all the 'you-know-what' you've been put through.

I was talking to H. and he said the same as you, that he is just going to get the medical. Just think it's a little odd that they did that and gave the soecific date as well. I don't know, anything Delhi does out of the ordinary automatically gives me the weebie-jeebies.

I think of you often, Let me know how you're doing occasionally, ok?
