I have seen on another forum where some are talking about fees required after receiving the NOA2. Many people replied with different fee amounts... so I thought I would come to the source since I will be going through Casablanca to see what some have paid. Here is a list of things people have been charge fees for. This is quoted from another website....

$140.00 - Mailing papers to Morocco using Gauranteed Global Express with USPS (my quote)

$229 - Medical (I heard it was $130.00)

$146 - Interview (Never heard of that one....hummm)

$73 - X-ray (I heard was included in the $130.00 medical)

$60 - Vaccinations (I heard that was also included in the $130.00 medical)

$960 - Plain Ticket (I wonder who got that lucky to get such a cheap price!)

$1010.00 for Adjustment of Status to be paind before his visa expires on 90 days

$??? - Police records

$??? - Paper showing singlehood (We'll have to do this...)

Just trying to get an idea whats coming up.... and Im sure others are wondering too.

Have I missed any other fees?

The link that someone posted looks like the best place to start.

I would suggest ignoring members that dont have anything to add to your thread other than instigation.

"you fondle my trigger then you blame my gun"

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

The link was bumped 3 times in less than 4 hours. I believe I have seen even MOD's request that members give people a chance to read things. It was also late at night for most of us in MENA ... typically we are hoppin' in the early morning hours...only a few of us are the "night owls" and some of us Night Owl chicas are not as active these days. My suggestion is try to give it till at least the next day (unless it gets buried under other threads) for everyone to respond.

Typically I am a night owl!! But I know nothing about Casablanca...well, other than what I could find on a "forum" search.

Best of luck!

Spoil sport. :innocent:

'Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Chardonnay in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming 'WOO HOO, What a Ride'

aha! but anyways, re. fees i wouldn't know the first thing about them. my husband took care of every one of them and would have been mortified had i brought them up anywhere, with anyone. the idea that i would bother myself about his financial responsibilities, especially publicly, would have really embarrassed him. i suspect he's not the only man who would feel that way either...

Oh you know how that works. ;)

what i don't understand is how someone can be "mouadswife" and be applying for a k-1. how's that work then?

The screen name that members choose does not always reflect their position in life.... I have River as part of my user name but that does not mean that I am a river.... does it.

So please stop with the comments designed to insight a response.

Its aparent that this post hasn't gone anywhere than to provide entertainment for some members. I will post my question elsewhere and see if I can get a better response to this question. This is ridiculous. Thanks to those who did take the time out to answer my question. I sincerely appreciate it.
