Our time line for CR1 visa took only 5 months and 1 week or 156 days; from the filing the I-130 on the 03-12-2009 to Approval of NOA2 on the 05/13/2009, then Interview on the 08/18/2009 at Manila, Philippines. We had a daughter on the 11-12-2010 named AISHA JOY means HAPPY LIFE.a1_opt-1.jpga2_opt-1.jpga3_opt-1.jpg

A week is generally plenty of time, but sometimes it takes longer. Your pin will PROBABLY work more than 2x like they say I know of many many many people who used it alot more than what they tell you it's good for.

The USC fiance can call the Department of State (DOS) at (202) 663-1225 (press 1 then 0) to find out if the US Embassy has entered your file into their system. If they say YES, then call the US Embassy for the interview appointment. You don't have to wait a week. Our file was delivered September 14. I got the appointment September 17. Calling the DOS first before calling the Embassy is a cheaper alternative.

give about 2 weeks to call who knows you might find out she will be good to have the interview scheduled already :)

my packet arrived in the embassy aug.6 (i tracked it thru DHL) when i called around aug.18, i asked i f i can schedule an interview the lady said i can and that the soonest would be aug.27, then i received the letter from the embassy on aug.22

i suggest the beneficiary in the philippines call for the interview schedule it will save you money actually. it costs 55 pesos per minute and if she has everything ready then she will justhave to call once for a few minutes, so saves you the $$ :)

she'll just call through a PLDT or smart landline other phone companies cannot get through

Even calling the Dept. of State is not foolproof. I called the embassy and got the run around, called DOS and was told it was processed and the letter sent out. Called back to the embassy the next night and scheduled the interview for 1 week later. Meanwhile, my fiancee received the letter than she can schedule her interview. Arrived on interview day and was rescheduled for 3 days later because she was not in the system. She already had her medical 2 weeks earlier as well.
