Hey People!

Had to dig in pretty far to find the thread! lol

Just a quick word to report that I was approved yesterday. Woot woot.

9 months of wait for a 3-minute interview. It couldn't have gone any smoother. :)

I hope you guys are all well. Take care!

Congratulations, Kizza !

Great! Thank you Kizza! :D It was a very quick experience. We brought a big binder with all our documents requested in the interview letter (originals & copies), 3 photo albums of us throughout relationship plus wedding, and folders with more secondary evidence if needed (cards, receipts, etc.) Before you go in have your ID & notice letter ready. Once inside you go through security which is like the airport security. After that we went to check in at the 2nd floor - Adjustment of Status. Then we waited on the 3rd floor for about 5-10 minutes before being called. We were interviewed by a guy. He was polite & serious at the same time. Told us to pledge we are speaking the truth, asked for passport & DL from both of us, and then proceeded to ask questions. He just asked my husband his current address, current cell phone#, birthdate, and then read the criminal questions/communist questions (all answered "no" lol). After that he just asked us how we met, what my job is, what our major was (we met in University), our photos, and then said we were approved. It was easy even though I was still nervous haha. Interview time was about 10 minutes. So a pretty easy experience. I guess they can tell if you are legit or not.

Even though I am happy to be done with this :star: I'm not looking forward to doing this again almost 2 years later when we have to remove conditions. They already sucked enough money from us.....

Nice! thanks for posting about it. Sounds pretty painless! lol but I guess a lot of preparation goes into it, right?

I can't wait to be done with that part of the process and get a bit of a break from immigration!! start saving up again for the next step! Congrats again and enjoy the respite!
