I just saw this on the VJ homepage about a proposal to raise the K visa fee up to $350.

Wow! I am sure I don't have to worry, but that would be aweful if it was put into place before our interview next month. That's pretty steep considering what we already pay for filing the petition, the medical and everything else.

Not surprised though.

I know... it is ridiculous. Next Friday, it will have been 4 months.

It's just so frustrating that they are approving october files now when there are still a good bunch of September filers and even earlier waiting.

Well, I guess it's really the September filers main thread, but VSC seems to have taken it over and we don't even go to the VSC Specific thread anymore. We get the occasional CSC person in there.. which is nice. We like to hear how it's going over on this end too!!

Anyone from September CSC filing for Turkey?? I'm all alone over at VSC.

we got a letter from NVC today saying that they shipped our file to the Naples consulate on January 12. They are working fast!

OMG, how did you get this information? I was trying to track my package using the code we got from NVC (it starts with NPL = Naples) but I coulnd't find anything.

So wait, provided that this was my package, when did they deliver it at the consulate? the 15th?

ok, then I guess by this coming week I'll receive packet 3.

We never got a letter from them. Most people I have talked to said they didn't.

I got a letter from NVC, so I guess it'####### or miss.

I also got a letter, the main thing of importance that it provides is your embassy case number. Of course, you can get that from NVC by simply calling them. Calling DOS is more important, they can tell you when the case is "loaded" and your P3 has been shipped.

Nov 6, 2009: "I had breakfast in Korea, lunch in Shanghai, and dinner in Chongqing...now I just need to find a squat toilet..."

Hey Dain! I understand that Vicky is from the Philippines. Did she receive a packet 3 before the interview? And oh! The form I-134 affidavit of support, does it need to be notarized?

Sorry i got so many questions. huhu.. =(
