Hello everyone,

My name is Carrick. My fiance' (Thu) and I are in the process of getting all the required documentation for the I-129F ready for filing. I am still in the learning process but I want to know basically if the Letter of Intent to marry in 90 days has to be an original signed document or can it be a copy of that signed document. I want to know this for both myself and my fiance'. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Brother,

take your time and front load the application.. HCMC is not the easiest conslate in the world... there are a number of discussions that are in the asia east and pacific area of the site... there are a number of things you should include that are not mentioned in the guides...

Be sure that the 325 is an original signed document

also you should include a notarized timeline of your relationship and a list of any of Thu's relatives in the US and any relationship you have with any of them noted.. Do a bunch of reading in the Asia east area and it will really help you in the long run.

Original signature. Also the G-325a needs to be original signature.

Many posters here bring the 325A, letter of intents with them when they go visit their girl, have her sign them, and good to go! Otherwise, she needs to mail them back to you signed. It won't save you time to mail copies. Originals only. HCMC so rough and tough on petitions. Take the time, do it right. Shortcuts are anything but! Good Luck! Edited by itzallgood
