I129f approved on 14/09/09, same time as I130, but, the system didn't update the status for I129f only for I130.

Hopefully NVC receive it tomorrow and I get an Interview and Medical date early October.

Best of Luck. Best wishes. Thank you.

Call NVC at (603) 334-0700 to get your NVC Case number and to inquire when they forwarded your file to the US Embassy.

After that, call the Department of State about a week after you know the NVC has forwarded your case to the US EMbassy and ask if they have processed your file into their system.

If DOS says yes, then you may contact the US Embassy without waiting for their letter to set your interview appointment. We got our approval late August and got an October 8 interview (you can check our timeline, we are doing K3/K4 also).

You getting an early October interview largely depends on how much time it takes for your file to make it from USCIS to NVC, then from the NVC to the US Embassy, and if your spouse is able to comply with the pre-interview requirements before the interview schedule.

Thank you for the information. Will have to check with NVC. Have been calling but they haven't received it yet. Could you please tell me the pre-interview requirements? Also is there a link to the Packet 3/ 4 paper work?

Best of Luck. Best wishes. Thank you.

I have left my original Birth Certificate in USA with my Wife. I requested two copies of my police certificate. I have the marriage certificate from when we got married, we haven't purchased a certificate yet from the state.

If my wife has some of my original documents (birth certificate) in USA, will it be possible for her to send this to NVC; the rest I take with me to the interview, in London (additional phone records, pictures, emails, MSN conversations etc?

Best of Luck. Best wishes. Thank you.

The US Embassies have different protocols. Some send out Packet 3, some don't.

I'd suggest that you do a search on the contents of Packet 3 and 4 for London applicants here on VJ, or post the question in your Regional Forum.

In a K3/K4 application, the NVC merely assigns a NVC Case Number and then the file (I-129F and supporting documents) is sent to the US Embassy for processing. As far as I know, K3 applicants do not sent documents to the NVC at any stage in the process. Documents are submitted to the NVC for screening when you are undergoing the CR1 process.

Packet 3 would contain instructions on what the Petitioner or the Beneficiary must comply with before Packet 4 is sent.

Packet 4 would contain the list of documents the Beneficiary would bring to the Embassy and instructions on how to make the interview appointment.

Well the US Embassy in London requires me to bring all documents. Great. Now I need to get my documents mailed back to me in the UK. It does, however say that the marriage certificate can be the one handed to use by the judge on day of weeding:

Marriage certificate* - the original or certified copy bearing the appropriate seal or stamp of the issuing authority for each of the applicant's marriages.

If that above is correct then the birth certificate would be the only thing for my wife to send to me. Again, I don't know, will have to wait for my lawyer to give me further instructions. I really hoping to fast-track all this, I want an Interview in Oct!!!

Best of Luck. Best wishes. Thank you.
