That is the point I was trying to make Island. Maybe I should have just said that I guess I went into too much detail.

I got you Dada...but I think it was more about you saying you would bottle them and sell them. Since "selling" them is in the history of our country....it landed on here wrong.

What part of the story was sad?? I'm sorry did I say that out loud. I actually laughed like dem damn Jamaicans dey strike again. I'm telling you I'm about to bottle them up and start selling them. I bet I would make a killing as long as I didn't use most of the product myself. I can see why your hubby would feel like that he probably feels guilty like yeah we have that effect on American woman. This is a tough one I can see his point but at the same time I would hate to see him miss out on family gatherings due to it. I mean this is something your aunt and uncle will have to work out. Does she plan on not volunteering anymore?

By the way did anyone watch the video MsTee posted on FB the dance hall one? I was like OMG.. I had me rolling the way they were all over the gate. I was cracking up as soon as a girl got on the gate a guy was fighting to get behind her. Did you see the one girl kick the other in the but by accident? It had me rolling.

Do you even realize how inappropriate and offensive that comment is?

this is kind of what pisses hubby off about it. he hates that stereotype...that american woman just go to jamaica for a fling and then come back to their husbands and act like everything is cool....even tho, yes it does happen.

I didn't think it was offensive you just took it that way. Do you know how many married woman mess with Jamaicans? I don't blame the Jamaicans I blame the husbands. If they were doing their job then there would be no need for the woman to cheat and lately its becoming more and more common. Not just on VJ. All the things that are said on this board and you find my comment offensive. WOW!! Whatever!

How many? ...and what's being bottled up?

There is a lot on here that I find offensive - I usually don't bother to reply, cause you don't get it anyway - This board is not about married women messing with Jamaicans - it's about people dealing with the immigration process and the struggles of an LDR - The comment was offensive because it seems to encompass so many of your posts that lead me to believe you view Jamaicans as play toys - and there is no excuse for cheating or for blaming the husbands - if the wife isn't happy then she needs to get the hell outta the marriage before she cheats -

this is kind of what pisses hubby off about it. he hates that stereotype...that american woman just go to jamaica for a fling and then come back to their husbands and act like everything is cool....even tho, yes it does happen.

not just my aunt, but most of my family and a lot of my friends go to jamaica annually....some many times a year (good friends of the family have an apartment in ochie and have made it available to us when they are not there) so they/we have a real love for jamiaca and have made some real connections there....it is not like they just go there and get wasted and get some ####### and come home. it just sucks that for those that don't know the story, that that is how it appears. but for those who know, it is a situation of 2 friends hanging out and things just went too far....

Exactly Finesse - and the more that people perpetuate the stereotype, the worse that it gets for the good ones that are out there -

i sort of understand his feelings but still don't really think they feel any way towards him about it.

i guess because my aunt and uncle have been in a relationship for so long and everyone has kind of admired their relationship. they are very cool people and always are doing things together and seem so happy. so now not only is her marraige compromised but she is losing a great friend too..

she was supposed to go next month with a few friends of hers and they have all cancelled their trip..

Ahh that is true.. That is along time to be married and so uncommon in my neck of the woods lately. I see your point my husbands aunt and uncle have bene married I think 25 years and they always look so happy. Because of them I had faith in marriage but now lately I don't know. Its like the bad is overpowering the good.

Not always...on Sunday my parents will be married for 40 years.

My parents have been married 46 years.
