I had my interview on March,26,2009.The CO says everything looks good but she needs to do some AR and i asked her how long it will take? she says 2 weeks. i have been under administrative process for more than 5 months.

I got an email from the embassy to send my passport on July,30,2009.

I sent my passport to you on Aug ,2,2009 .

Every time i send you an email to ask about my case status i got the same answer '' the case is pending consular officer review''

Today the Embassy called me and they asked me for a second interview on Sept ,27 ,2009 at 1 PM.

I know it doesn't sound promising :(

I want to know if anyone here had the same situation ?!!!

I thought that they asked me about everything at the interview .so what will they ask me about this time ?!!!!

I wonder why they told me to send my passport and now they need me for a second interview?!!!

Dose that make any sense at all ?!!!!!!!!!!

Mohamed

Nothing's impossible . Nothing's unreachable .When I am weary you make me stronger

This love is beautiful .So unforgettable . I feel no winter cold when we are together .

Will you stand by me ?!!!Hold on and never let me go .

Will you stand by me?!! With you i know i belong . When the story gets told .

When day turns into night .I look into your eyes . I see my future now .All the world and its wonder

This love wont fade away. And through the hardest days . I will never question us .You are the reason my only reason.

I'm blessed to find what i need in a world loosing hope. you are my only believe .

You make things right every time after time.....

Will you stand by me ?!!!

I love you so much and i miss you so much more .

Don't think negatively. Think positive! Perhaps they have the passport there so that on that interview day when you are approved and they already have your passport in which to get your visa out faster! Think this way....(F)

I would think back over your interview questions. Review your file you have and compare to those questions asked. Make sure you remember all your responses so that you can be on the same page.

Wish I had more to offer you but prayers and support! I hope someone else can provide you with a similar story to help ease your mind. Good luck!

Im with them, I would think positive! This could be a GOOD thing. Like Nawal said, remember everything from the first interview so you dont have inconsistent answers and just be honest and hopeful.

At least you arent sitting in the AP hellhole of unknowing  I think it sounds good.

Good Luck!

I just noticed that this:

Second Interview

(If Required):

Second Interview Result:

has been added to the timeline function on VJ.... I dont think its too rare if the wise admin thought that it was necessary to add to Vj's timelines

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

I would think that them asking you to send them your passport is A VERY GOOD sign. A second interview is not a big deal, especially after there being such a long gap since the first interview. My fiance has to do another too and he and you are not the first. Some questions they ask will probably be the same ones they asked you before, and perhaps even a few new ones. Just stay calm, don't allow yourself to get too worried or stressed and as another poster has put it, 'think positive'. :)

Mohamed I am so sorry you are going through this. I know how painful this whole process is especially AP. Take a deep breath, get well organized for your interview and I am sure you will do well. Best of luck to you!!!

It could just be that they want you to come in and take your passport/visa in person. Maybe they need you to sign something (maybe something was not signed by mistake). I wouldn't worry too much about it. Honestly, I doubt it's going to be a full on interview like your first one.

As I remember, after my husbands first interview, we were placed in AP for just about 6 months. Then he was called to have a second interview. They did not keep his passport at the first interview. At the second interview he was asked for his passport, which he turned over to the CO and it was stamped that day because I called DOS about 3 hours after the interview and they told me that it was already being stamped. His visa arrived in his passport 5 days later.

You will get your visa. I feel this.

You should be more relaxed this time and know what to expect. Bring everything you took with you for your first interview and whatever else you have aquired since then. In our case, all the CO wanted to see was the copies of my recent phone bills.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

We had a second interview and got the visa shorty after as well. This is a good thing so no worries just be prepared as you were the last time. Who knows why Cairo does what it does. I honestly thought that it had been so long they needed to bring my husband in to see if he's still alive. lol
