Finally after three attempts to find out if we could get an interview appointment, we did this morning. biggrin.gif

We had been tracking a number of packages that left the NVC on September 4 (which is the date the NVC rep said our file had been forwarded to the USEM), and were disappointed when they didn't arrive on September 11 (presumably DHL tried to deliver them while the LFS was there conducting a demonstration, but didn't complete the transaction).

They were delivered to the USEM September 14. Since then I called the 1-909 number twice to try to set an appointment but to no avail.

My husband called DOS over his lunch break yesterday (September 16, E.S.T.) and was told our packet was already processed into the system.

So this morning before I went to work, I called the call center again...this time we got the results we were looking for!

At first, the agent thought we were applying for E3...she asked for a priority date and I raised an eyebrow at that. When I said it was for K3 and not E3 she checked again...and apologized. After that she took our information (mine and our daughter's) and the date when we want to be interviewed. We picked October 8...and the agent told us our appointment will be at 7:00 a.m.

Rick was still at work when I texted him...we are both very happy! Going for the medicals on October 1 and 2 at SLMEC. Guess we will see you there!

Thanks so much! smile.gif

Especially you, thepizzadude...your tips re: what to do from USCIS to NVC and then from NVC to USEM Manila really helped us...which is why we got the early appointment! biggrin.gif

My husband and I are now finalizing his I-134 stuff and he will FedEx all of the stuff to me Wednesday next week (his letter of employment will take the longest to get...he has to get it from the school board and it takes 3 days to get...he already put in a request for it). Am also fixing to make my BDO payment (for the visa fee), get my NBI clearance (next Friday), and then get ready for the medicals (Oct 1 and 2).

All my other stuff is ready. smile.gif Just have to print some pics from Rick's recent trip to the Philippines.

May October be a PINK month for us all!
