Maire, how are things going with your Fiancee, is he getting used to new life?

It has NOT been easy at all..he hates been stuck at home...and many other things...but I have the hope things will only get easier from now on

Hi all!! Long time no talky for me. I've been reading some and kind of browsing the posts but don't have time to post or just have not much to say :). All good with me, month and a half left for Lampros and he'll be home in Athens some of December for break and then Christmas.. easier/cheaper communication wooot! I've been working loads with random days off and seems busier! I'm going to be renting out my moms house for when Lampros comes so we can get on our feet first. All is well anyways..!

CONGRATSSSS Liz! You look so happy together and Jessie looks it too! Lovely little family!

Your right, the longer he's here the easier it will get for him. Pat didn't have too much trouble adjusting but then he's been able to visit here a lot so that helped!

I am ok Liz. How are you?

I am laying out my plans for black friday. I am hoping to get Oksana a laptop and myself a cashmere sweater. Some new clothes for myself as well. It just sucks that I have to be at a store at 4 in the morning. The savings are just too good to pass up. Am I the only crazy one who'll be there that early?

I'm good....at work which sucks but only here until 1:30 so not THAT bad...lol!

I'm actually considering making a quick trip to our local walmart that day at 5am, they have an eMachine Laptop on sale that morning for 198.00! We soooooooooo need a new computer!

Otherwise, that's all I will probably do as far as shopping that day...not brave enough for doing much more!

You may want to check out office max. They have an Acer with a 10" screen for $149. Thats what I will be angling for myself. I can only hope that I get to leave work early today. They haven't said yet, but I have my fingers crossed.

This one has a 15.6" screen....plus a 2GB memory and 160GB hard drive...so a pretty good deal I think!

Its definitely a good deal.

I have no idea what the office max one has in terms of capabilities off the top of my head, but we just need for her to send e-mails and get on the internet. Once she gets here I have a nice PC and my laptop is more than suitable.

They should let me go early, because I am awesome. Somehow that doesn't seem to translate to me going home early.....yet. I will figure out an equally awesome plan to get myself out of here in a timely manner.

Did you figure out how to cook your cornish hens?

We're having a quiet Thanksgiving with just the two of us. Arturo prepared two of the dishes yesterday, which is awesome!

I just saw the posts about Turducken, and I have to say that Arturo has been in love with the idea ever since he first heard of it 3 or 4 years ago. I saw the link and that site says it feeds about 30 people or something!

Lee, about the laptop gift. I think that's a great idea, especially if it'll make it easier for y'all to talk.

I actually think I'm going to be the only one in my office today. I found out yesterday that almost everyone I work with is taking today off. I'm just assuming that the rest are as well. It's 9:30 and noone else is here yet... It's nice and quiet!
