thanks igork!

Wow you are fast Liz... you just want to get done with it right? i dont blame you, the faster the better and i think if we go over the allowed days to stay here there is a penalty of $1000 no? or once you are married you are allowed a certain time to go over the days and send the application...gotta look into that but imma try to step on it = )

How are you doing with your future husband? How he's doing so far in the States?

LOL...yeah, we want to get it done as quick as we can...Pat is VERY eager to start working! You have 90 days.....even after your married I think that it's still 90 days....someone will correct me if I'm wrong I think...lol!

We are doing great! He's staying busy with things around the house....I'll have to get some new pics for you guys, he started painting the outside of the house and got the entire front section done yesterday....it looks sooooooo freaking awesome!!! Looks like a totally different house....lol!

Sounds like Kathy is adjusting well...did she have a good time when she went away for those two weeks?

yes she did, she mentioned many things that sound great to me either, makes me wish we had that in ny lol She had fun with her cousins and aunt...and their 5 Schitzus lol

She's just starting to just let go of the fear and go out on her own specially now with the english classes coming up but she's adapting well...slowly but surely, it's a whole different life style compared to Peru

Wow sounds like Pat is a good handy man in the house, that's awesome, i wish i was that good, im still learning but then again i've only lived in apartments... when i buy my house hopefully i'll use the skills i learned so far when i got the apartment ready...ofcourse with some help lol. Good luck to you and hope all keeps going great with you two...BTW... check behind the I 94 on his passport, idk about you but like i said before, they stamped "allowed to work" on the back of that paper and kathy got her social with allowed to work written on it... check it out just in case.

That's good that she's not so afraid anymore...it'll keep getting easier for her as the time goes by!

I'll check his I94 but his Social security card has not allowed to work on it..that I do know for sure!

Derek - Thanks for the heads-up about the copies of the marriage license....ours is 7.00 a copy but I'd only planned on getting one...I'll make sure to get two copes now!

Marias I-94 has allowed to work on it... but she is running out of time it expires 11-11

I guess she'll have to wait until her EAD comes then.....from what I've heard, those and AP are getting approved withing like 30-35 days of NOA1!

Does Maria have any ideas as to what kind of work she wants to do?

Carlos - Not sure if I've asked this before or not...if I have then you can smack me...lol!

Where in Peru is Kathy from? I ask because I have a very dear friend from Lima.... :star:

Hi everyone,

Carlos: congrats! The pictures were great.

Our ceremony was also really quick. Probably less than 5 minutes. And at the end, the officiant said, "By the power vested in me by the Congress of the United States." I thought that was really funny and almost started laughing. I guess b/c it's DC and not actually a state.
