Hi everyone,

Are beneficiaries allowed to call NVC to inquire about the status, or does it have to be the onus of the petitioner again? Many thanks!

Unlike USCIS, NVC does accept calls from beneficiaries. You'll need to have the USCIS receipt number and the petitioner's name and date of birth (as well as your own) handy for identification purposes, however.

Improved USCIS Form G-325A (Biographic Information)

Form field input font changed to allow entry of dates in the specified format and to provide more space for addresses and employment history. This is the 6/12/09 version of the form; the current version is 8/8/11, but previous versions are accepted per the USCIS forms page.

Absolutely beneficiaries can call! I called NVC with no problems. They are supposed to ask you for identifying information such as pet and ben DOB, names and of course the USCIS case #. I think I was only asked once for that info, the rest of the time just asked for the USCIS case #.
