adorable devil!

see Beth? Hopefully Kenza's experience will help :)

"you fondle my trigger then you blame my gun"

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

Beth, same thing happened to me remember? I had no idea if he was approved or denied BUT they kept his passport and didn't ask for any more evidence/papers.... they are doing extra background checks (NOT AP though) and as soon as they are done with that and it's cleared, they will send his passport inshallah with the visa in it. Don't worry!!!! It's all in Allah SWT hands inshallah. It's only been 3 business days since you had your interview, it's coming, don't worry and we are here to cheer with you once you get the best call/email from your husband saying I GOT THE VISA!!!

I just looked at my timeline again and my hubby got his visa within 5 business days.

Kenza, you mean they NEVER told your husband if he was approved? They told me, Im not approving or denying this petition, did not even give us a slip of paper, or a mention of AP. Just said need to look into a bit more.

NOPE. They told him that they need to do more background checks and if they are cleared then he will receive the visa in the passport within 5-10 days I think it was. AND he got it within 5 days.

Well the lady who grilled us, said Im not approving or denying you, need to see if bigamy is involved. That was it, and that was before I asked her is she is keeping hubbys passport, which she did and made no motion to give back to me or him.

I've been tracing on the Chronopost package we had to give embassy, no movement on it as of 1 hour ago. UGH!!!!

Its been 4 complete business days now since the interview.

Truly happy!!!

New life, new adventures, and a new attitude.

The waiting doesn't get better Beth. (F) Bigamy is pretty serious and that's the first I remember reading that. I wonder what would make her think that?

So far we're still in AR. Might as well call it AP. The only thing I can think of why they are still holding us is we qualify for the IR-1 and they're making him do the 5-6 month wait on that side to issue it to us. It's that or we're hung up in security and background checks. The IR-1 sure would make it more financially easier for us. With the extra months work he's saving his money up too. Right now he's still working at the clinic in Hurghada and he got the flu but not the H1N1 flu so he's laid up in bed. Poor guy is working himself sick and has no one to take care of him. He works days and nights at the clinic now on call since all of the other doctors left for the season. I hope he's alright there. He said he'll be taking his vacation days finally on the 4th and 5th to Luxor this time. I told him to order some vegetable soup from Summerland restaurant and have them deliver it. His Mom always made it for him when he was sick and I nearly ate it the entire time I was there because of my stomach. Last night I was thinking about our wedding day. (L)

(((((Olivia))))))

(((((Beth)))))))

I talked to the State Dept, explained the whole situation of interview, and of them keeping his Algerian passport, and of his French card expiring Friday. Final thing State Dept told me, All looks good, and also, they dont keep a passport if they think there is a real problem. They like to give them back, the same thing the woman who interviewed us said, I pray they are right!!! Im emailing embassy this pm if no movement on the Chronopost package today.

Also, I found out a U.S. embassy can not hold a passport of another country. Since our interview was in France, they can not hold another countrys passport such as my husbands whose is Algerian issued.

What do you all think???

Truly happy!!!

New life, new adventures, and a new attitude.

What Im afraid of if they keep it, and his card expires, they will say, Sorry cant issue visa his Titre De Sejour is expried!!! cause U.S. embassy did not act in Due Diligence.

Truly happy!!!

New life, new adventures, and a new attitude.
