Hi,

Just received a letter in the mail yesterday congratulating me for my approval.

I had decided not to check my case online to stop me from going paranoid this time..

This morning I decided to check so I know when my card is on its way and was surprised to see that my status online says my application was received by ....

Last touch was on my biometrics day.

The letter says:

"Congratulations! your request for removal of the conditional basis of your permanent resident status has been approved. You are deemed to be a lawful permanent resident of the US as the date of your original admission or adjustment of your status.

You should receive a new PR Card, form 1-551 (green card), within 60 days. Your card will include a mailer, Form 1-797D, with important information about your status....."

The letter is nothing like a NOA, just a plain letter.

Has anyone experienced this? Approval by mail and no changes online?

I am just a bit worried because my receipt date is only from 2 months ago. This was surprisingly fast (My service center is CA).

Please advise.

Thank you!

CSC is blazing and you are definatly approved. The on line sysytem is not the most accurate. Congrats on the approval.

Why is it that the only one who can stop the crying is the one who started it in the first place?

Well I got the same letter about 32 days ago and I am still waiting for the Green Card or the Form 1-797D and my status online still showing that my case is pending... I would really prefer to receive the email of "production card ordered" and my case approved online too... I believe (according with others timeline) that when you receive the electronic updates you get your green card much faster.

At least we have this piece of paper showing that we are approved but I want my Green Card!!

Forget online status.

When applying for citizenship after taking the oath and receiving certificate of naturalization my case was still pending online (last update date was the date of submitting the N-400 form).
