Hello filipina vj's,

I wanna ask ,if it is ok to send to the NVC two kinds of birth certificate from NSO and from civil registrar?

My NSO birth certificate is unclear and look very dirty cuz of the ink so i decided to include my civil registrar birth so support the DS-230.

Any input are appreciated..

I do not think its a problem to include it. Just make sure that everything is labeled and explained. Generally, I think, the more paper to support your claim, the better.

As long as both BCs are exactly the same go ahead and send it. On the other hand if one is different from the other, for example your middle name is on one and not the other or the spelling of your last name is different then I wouldn't do it. You definately don't want to do do anything to confuse the NVC any more than they already are. Good luck.

Our time line for CR1 visa took only 5 months and 1 week or 156 days; from the filing the I-130 on the 03-12-2009 to Approval of NOA2 on the 05/13/2009, then Interview on the 08/18/2009 at Manila, Philippines. We had a daughter on the 11-12-2010 named AISHA JOY means HAPPY LIFE.a1_opt-1.jpga2_opt-1.jpga3_opt-1.jpg

hey there lovebirds(^_^)...okey, worries on birth certificate is cleared up.on the other hand, just wanna know how u went thru on ur police certificate. According to the instruction(philippine setting), NBI police certificate /NBI Clearance ,as its well known, is preferred over the local police certificate.Yet, Have u still included a local police certificate?

I would get both. NBI clearance should be enough but my fiance got the local police certificate as well. Might as well include it. Good luck.

I really wanted to attached a NBI clearance but it really confused me what status should i write nor the last name since I'm already married here in the Philippines.

Funny thing why some of BC records in NSO are unclear, mine is very unclear too, I encountered so many problems with this BC, especially with authentication in DFA.

I asked my cousin to go to the Municipality of Pili to get a copy of my certified true copy BC and she told me it looks very different from the old copies, now it looks like a certification only.

Thanks to you, now I had the idea of including the certified true copy with NSO copy, just in case.

when i applied for passport at DFA they asked me to get a form 1a from the civil registrar because my bc was unclear...certified copy from the civil registrar is just a photocopy of your original birth certificate or marriage certificate...so now if you will have babies or get married make sure that the certificates are clear and readable because NSO cant really do anything about it.

Yes,that's what I did, since I am here in Saudi Arabia, I jus sent the scanned copy of my Certified True Copy and thank GOD they approved the authentication, because I really need that authenticated BC to get my passport at the Philippine Embassy Riyadh.
