Looking for advice on airline tickets. As I'm sure many of you are aware the search for airline tickets internationally can be time consuming and pricey. I am looking for advice to any who have already flown from America to Australia. I will be looking for a round trip ticket from Detroit Metro into Brisbane for hopefully this spring. . Please if anyone can tell me where I can look/call to get a good price on a ticket I would be grateful. Also any suggestion or comments on what I should expect would be helpful too.... Thanks..

take a look at www.vaustralia.com for fligths which are reasonably priced...

travelzoo.com.... also if you do a google with the search of detroit to brisbane airfares it will give you heaps of choices...

i am going next feb and i have priced a flight to melb for around 1185 for 2 months on vaustralia...

REMOVING CONDITIONS

11th Aug 2008 - Mailed I-751 to CSC.

12th Aug 2008 - Application received

14th Aug 2008 - Cheque cashed

18th Aug 2008 - Received NOA-dated the 12th

26th Aug 2008 - Received Biometrics letter

4th Sept 2008 - Biometrics-Detroit-Complete-'Touched'

5th Sept 2008 - 'Touched'

1st Dec 2008 - APPROVED-Card production ordered -112 days

8th Dec 2008 - USCIS mailed approval notice.

8th Dec 2008 - Received my 10 year Greencard in the mail. took 2 days.

Although I have the above date for approval my card actualy states the

2nd December..

Look everyday...sometimes they have sales and you can get a great bargain. But remember that if you do not book the flight right then and there you can get a different price tomorrow. I shop Quantas lots. Hope this helps.

Have you signed up for any frequent flyer programs? I get notices of fare sales from Qantas periodically. I booked flights this past May for a trip leaving in Oct. LA to Perth round trip for just under $1000.

Thank you everybody... You all have been a great help. It appears that the prices change daily, so I will not begin my shopping for tickets until I have the money in hand, which will hopefully be by the end of next month....
