Oct 31,2008 Got interview call for Dec 22nd
Nov 11,2008 Medical exam done
Dec 22,2008 Interview and got approved
Dec 23,2008 Visa issued, thanks to God
Jan 20,2009 Flew home to Texas.

Good Morning everyone!

First day of 3rd grade for Tariq. OMG....I can't believe it! Seems like just yesterday, I was holding my baby in my arms. Working at this children's clinic is really giving me the baby bug. I wanna another one, sigh....

I am so thirsty right now and I have over 11 hours to go before iftar. Alhamdulillah, I DO get to eat and drink later......some people aren't so lucky.

Oh and good news, I'm almost at case complete at the NVC, inshaAllah by the end of the week.

IHQ have a safe flight....let us know when you get back on U.S. soil!

Anyhow, have a good Tuesday all!

Good Morning

Well that 3 day blew by in a minute didn't it??

It was nice and relaxing.

Got a few things done. No BBQ :(

Made batch 2 of that msmen and now I got it! :thumbs:

So feeling good about that and hubby all proud. I also made a couple of Moroccan receipes that turned out nice.

It is looking a little cloudy here too but no rain yet.

I did see some in the forecast for this week tho.

Weather has been perfect and we are only getting to the mid to upper 70s :blink: already this week.

Maureen, you ready for Thanksgiving? I can't believe how early the stores jump into shoving the holidays down our throat....Halloween is next but for another day off I guess I'd have to pull for Thanksgiving.

Dropped my youngest daughter to school this morning. Blessing and curse with back to school but happy to see her growing and having some enthusiasm for school. I think even my 13 is excited about school starting.

IHQ...are you heading back to the states?? How long is your trip here?

I guess Jess made it here safely. I will have to read the weekend threads to see if she posted.

NAGI!! What's up girlfriend. PM me.

Boss is still on his vacation and I got a ton of running around to do on my lunch break and after work.

07/21/11 filed AOS off tourist visa

07/28/11 USCIS cashed check

07/30/11 Recieved NOA1 and Biometrics letter

08/24/2011 Biometrics

08/25/2011 RFE sent to us for some info we've already sent in

08/30/2011 sent in the rest of info USCIS asked for

09/13/2011 went to congressman's office to sign papers for expedite of work permit, due to financial hardship

09/15/2011 Work permit expedite approved!! He can finally find a job!

09/24/2011 work permit arrives

09/26/2011 Apply for social security number!

09/30/2011 Letter is sent for interview

11/07/2011 INTERVIEW!!!

Its 2012 and still no approval! Still waiting

01/27/2012 Letter sent stating that file was sent on for more review :(

Ugh I just answered the phone with "hello" instead of "hello this is Bridget" because there's someone who has been calling me that I don't wanna talk to. Well it was child support services so I had to say "oh Bridget will be back in 1/2 hour".

Now I have to call the guy back and somehow sound different than the girl answering the phone. Oh what a tangled web we weave.... :wacko:

Welcome home Jess! IHQ have a safe trip and see you soon. Jackie what's the update on work?

Happy Tuesday everyone and best wishes on sending the little ones back to school.

It's 15 minutes till law class starts and then I have computer lab later. I'm only taking two classes while focusing on graduate school applications to start a program somewhere next Fall and studying the next 8 weeks for the GRE which I'll be taking in November. Where I'll land nobody knows. :P
