Ok, we have everything except the police report, which has been ordered. Should we send in the checklist and get an interview date? Or wait until the police report is recieved. I figured if the interview is like a month away from when they recieved the check list, we should have the police report by then. I also need to buy airline tickets and get time off from work (which I can't without the date) so I can attend the interview. What do you guys think?

I'd say send it in. They'll never know anyway. If you know you'll have the police cert. come the interview you're fine. I cheated too - sent back the checklist before I had my medical done. Don't worry - you're cool

I'd be tempted to send in the packet later this week - hopefully you'll get the police certification next week or the week after. I didn't go to the interview but if you do - bring empty suitcases so you can lug plenty of stuff back with you. B)

OK, and here I thought you were asking what I thought of hot dogs in a package of 10 and buns in a package of 8.

Well, you takes your chances. How reliable are they about getting you the police certificate? How relaiable are they in taking a month for the interview (and don't forget some time to translate the police certificate) so calculate your odds and roll the dice. Worst case, the interview comes before the police certificate and they hold the visa until you deliver the police certificate. If you can live with the worst case...I say go for it.

There's no need to translate the police certificate. We're basing the timeline off of other Germany members here on the board.
