I believe most people in here are familiar with the serbinski forum(www.serbinski.com) where you can find lots of good info. about CDN&US taxing questions.

I've checked their websites today.They operate in Toronto & Chicago.

Has anybody used their services? I really need a good accountant who understands both sides.

09-11-09 - NVC accepted DS-3032(received an e-mail)

09-12-09 - Mailed I-864 Package

09-14-09 - IV Bill Show as PAID

09-15-09 - I-864 received at NVC

09-16-09 - Mailed IV Package(DS-230)

09-17-09 - DS-230 package delivered to NVC(confirmed via fed-ex)

09-21-09 - NVC received the DS-230

09-23-09 - NVC sent an e-mail asking for DS-230 package

09-24-09 - NVC confirmed that the DS-230 package received

09-26-09 - Login Failed!!!

09-28-09 - Case Completed at NVC --------------------------------------------------NVC stage is completed in 38 days

01-27-10 - Medical

02-05-10 - Interview Date

04-14-10 - POE

Done with USCIS until Apr 14,2012 (Removal of Conditions)

I used to visit their free tax forum a fair bit, one guy named "nelson" answered mos tof the questions, and he was sort of a grump at times,lol Well in some ways he was right to be, as the same questions were asked over and over, and he was a big believer in the "search" function,lol A few yrs back, i recall a VJ member using them, and I dont think they had much good to say about their services!! but i could be wrong. maybe do a search on here for serbinski,

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied,that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

Used their forum as well. nelson was very helpful, especially when you've done your research and you ask intelligent questions.

03/15/10 - 10 Green Card Received - self and daughter
