what does "touch" mean

"Touch" means that the online status date of your case has changed.

Has anyone ever noticed being touched after the K-3 interview at the embassy? We were granted a 30 day extension to bring missing documents. Four days after the interview our case was touched back at the USCIS web site.

post-23619-1153251947_thumb.jpgI was touched today. Yesterday I received a email from CSC saying that had received my RFE. I now await for my NO2. The date of my NO1 was 9 May 06. I think they have a system in place to expedite the backlog. It may be wishful thinking on my part but I am encouraged. I am hoping for a interview in September. I realise this is not likely but I am supposed to get recalled to the Army in September and go to Afganistan for a year. I hope my report date is in 2007 but do not know. I would like to get my life with Elena started before I have to leave. I have family here to keep her occupied till my return.

Your NOA1 is the same as mine, only I originally applied to NSC.

Good for you. Now if they will start producing some NOA2's. Did you file with the new I129-f or the old version?

CSC finally acknowledge receipt of my RFE. They recieved on 7/11 and just now update the online status. Same e-mail everyone else received... Blah Blah Blah since preliminary processing has been performed Blah Blah less time than what is stated in this e-mail. However, there is no time stated in the e-mail. So I guess that means whenever they feel like it.
