Mistake on I-129F - incorrect city of birth.. PLS HELP!!

Hello. I just got my I-129F approved by the Vermont Center 2 weeks back. I believe the next step involves having the petition send to NVC and then to the US consulate??

but anyway.. noticed that my fiancee's city of birth is incorrect on my original petition. So i'm a bit freaking out.

1) Is this information critical to the process?

2) Do i need to inform the NVC and have this corrected? or wait until the interview..?

3) Her passport only shows the province she's born in, not the city. So what other evidence can i use?

4) would this cause any delays in the process?

Please help!! Thank you very much.

Thanks!!! that definitely make me feel a bit better.

Just called NVC, and they finally received the I-129F from Vermont. However, they wont be able to make any changes to her city of birth. This may sound dumb, but when do i or my fiancee get to fill out the DS-230? not sure where this falls in the process...

Thanks again!!

I'm sure it's not a big thing. VSC messed up on my fiancee's birth date! I would get it cleared up, though, because they base their questions on the form and you don't want any discrepancies, especially between that one and future forms. All I had to do to fix the birth date was fax a signed statement to the embassy my petition was headed to (was at NVC and they told me the same thing - that I couldn't change it there), and there was no delays at all! I didn't submit proofs either. My fiancee simply wrote, "My birth date was incorrect on the I-129F and needs to be changed to ... for case...". Signed it and that's it. Hope it helps.

Thank you guys very much!! The NVC should re-route all questionaires to this forum instead!
