I just want to thank you guys for always being there for supporting me and helping me and just being there for me..

I am so glad I found these forums and you guys.. it helps so much.

Looks like my dream is going to happen..

Aaaaw, the "I finally got over the interview speech". You are so welcome Maggie (F)

So nice to see faces to go along with the names. I agree with Krystle.

There is so much to respond to and I can't get on here as much as I wish I could. I feel so left out.. not sure what is going on with everyone. Krystle any news on that baby dust???

Kayla? Visa in hand yet?

Krystle I saw a post where you were telling someone they needed to hurry and get an appointment for the marriage license.. not sure how it works where you are, but I remember reading you had some issues. Did you get it taken care of? Here we don't need an appoinment. We walked in and had the license 15 minutes later.

Please everyone.. dont' forget about me. I am not disappearing.. just trying to juggle my new life, but can't let go of VJ. You guys have been like my family when I was alone and trying to do all this...

Fuat is adjusting more.. and we are working on plans for our May 1 wedding for my family :) .. and we can't wait to finally be able to put rings on and let people know about this officially :)

Whose next to have their honey come in the country? Is it Maggie who arrives next? I am losing track.

Sigh regarding the baby news. I had a doc appt today and waited an hour and a half just to hear the doc isn't going to be in today so the assistant took a urine sample, came out negative and I have to go back on Thursday to do bloodwork.

Regarding the marriage license: the pastor that I'm doing pre'marital counseling with so happened to know the mayor so I got an appt the next day and we got our license last wednesday!!! I was telling 4lovewelive to get the ball rolling because she's not far from being here for 90 days and she didn't seem to know what she was going to do regarding the wedding.

My wedding is May 1st as well and slowly but surely we're getting stuff together, I can't wait!

Maggie should be coming next then AandD then Matthew will be in KY :D

Nope, Jenn. No visa. Visa wont be in hand for at least another 2 weeks to a month.

Why????

David works for the town. We will just go into the town clerk's office on Friday (4/23) and apply for the license. Our house is only a few minutes away. We return to the same location on Tuesday 4/27 and will have an appointment to be married by the Justice of the Peace who is also the town clerk.

From there we will start the ball rolling on AOS... :star:

I thought I was referring to 4lovewelive but Ok AandD :)

Because the privacy waiver probably wont make it to the congressman's office until Tomorrow. Then the girl in his office will have to look into it. Probably Friday on that. And then for Montreal to get off their asses and either send it out or tell us what's wrong that'll be another week or so.

I'm not at all being optimistic that it's going to happen in a fast manner. I keep saying it, but it keeps being true. I feel so defeated. Yeah, we know we were approved and the visa has been printed but it's also been almost 3 weeks since that happened. It hurts so much to know all of this, but to picture that visa sitting at the bottom of a pile or god knows where else it could be. It certainly isn't in the mail, that much we know.

God Kayla, I can't even imagine how you're feeling.. I feel helpless.. I am sending you so many wishes though.. I hope it just ends up appearing in the mailbox this week =(.. have you and mathew signed up to receive notification from the post office when the package is dropped off.. in case it's done without DOS telling you?

Krystle.. I'm sorry about the doc appointment..but fantastic news on the marriage licence!

We had so many things to stress us out that week that we never even got the tracking number off of the package. :( Right after we walked out of the consulate we realized and have been kicking ourselves ever since.

Oh no...

On another note we bought some stuff from the dollar store yesterday to make the bouqet because we went to this place and the one I wanted was $45 and it was fake flowers so we scoped it out, came home and made our own and it looks just the same :star:

Just got off the phone with the congressman's office. Montreal is telling her that the day they printed it, they also mailed it. That's funny to me because a.) Mathew hasn't gotten it and b.) it isn't showing that in the DoS system. Mathew is searching through his car right now to see if he can find the receipt from when we bought the envelope to get the tracking number off of that(according to Canada Post website they also list them on there), but he's been searching for about 25 minutes now so I guess that means he can't find it.

I feel like throwing up.

DOS system isn't that great because everytime I called they said approved or in process..and when they finally told me it was printed ..1 minute after i got off the phone, I got the email regarding the tracking number that it was at the post office! So DOS information is not that reliable....

I really hope you find the tracking number. If it was truly mailed and not picked up, then it would go back to MTL. They should have a record of that.

Blah. It should be easier to get accurate information. Why don't they just reprint the visa?!

I called canadapost today ..their tracking system isn't so hot. All it will tell you is that the item was accepted at the post office...and then the only other update you are going to receive is if it was delivered or not. But the lady was very helpful and told me it was actually mailed and I should be receiving it tomorrow..

So he didn't find it. But he did look at his bank statement and there's a transaction number for that purchase. So he's going to take it to the post office we bought it from and see if they can do a reprint or even just see what the tracking number is.

I really hope this works. Otherwise we're screwed.

*FINGERS CROSSED!!!!!!!* I hope he can get it, Kayla!!!!

My Matt just finished up his medical and is heading back to Burlington as I type this. He ended up staying up all night last night because he couldn't sleep, so he's exhausted. I'm exhausted because I was running around all night trying to figure out where all of his paperwork is. Luckily, I have a full copy of P3, because he managed to lose 5 pages of it. :bonk: Everything is now safe in my multicolored folder and I know it won't be lost now, lol!
