Congrats Jenn on the wedding!

Sifa & I got married yesterday - a small ceremony with 8 guests (all family) in my parents' house, ceremony performed by the minister whose church I went to growing up. It was perfect :) Now we just wait for the marriage certificate so we can file AOS! :)

Katie, congrats to you and Sifa. It looks like you had a nice intimate ceremony.

I wish you both all the best in your future life! (F)(F)

Hey, girls! I'm really sorry for disappearing again. I really feel bad about it. Im glad to see that you are still here and that this topic got to 240 pages. Thats great. I will be joining you from now on, no matter what. No more excuses. I still havent had the chance to read all that I missed but the first thing I read when I got here was about Jenn getting married. Congratulations Jenn! May you have a wonderful life together! The religious ceremony is separate from the legal one in Romania, as well. The religious one is a big deal to me, but Im afraid I wont be able to get married in an orthodox church in here... So, Im sure it meant alot for Fuat to do it according to their tradition.

So who else got married? I hope everyone on the forum is ok.

I have been trying to find my place in here... It is getting hard to stay home all day with no job, no driving license... I cant walk anywhere, cant go anywhere by myself. My fiance is trying to get a job and its not going to good. Alot of scammers these days....

I am a little stressed about the whole wedding thing. I dont even know if we can afford any kind of wedding and I keep asking myself if that matters or not... I just know that ur mum would love to see me wearing a white dress and having a little wedding even if she cannot be a part of it. I have no idea whats gonna happen... I guess I'll just wait and see...

So, hope to hear good news from all of you every day!

Roxy

Welcome back Roxy! :star:

I hope that you will find a way to have a nice wedding. The fact that you are there already shows how strong you are even if you had so many difficulties during this process. :star:

why is DOS so confusing... lol...

I called April 9th and they said it was approved and could very well be printed later that day...

I called this morning and got the same response...

Then I called later today (yes, i am obsessed) and I was told it was ISSUED April 9th but she doesn't know when/if it was mailed...

Was it actually Issued..or is she assuming because it's 'Approved'.. I'm hoping issued ;P

I am making Kenyth Call them.....hahah.. Oh poor DOS is going to hate us this week... being so anxious and all

Im still in Croatia untill the April 22. David is coming on Saturday...only 4 more days without my honey. :luv:(L)

I called the congressmans office this morning. I was told that I needed to mail them a privacy waiver and then she would look into our case. Not a problem because I had already filled it out and just had to put it in the mail.

So just for fun I decided to call DoS to see if maybe by some slim chance they had posted it as mailed. The girl I talked to today said that our case was still pending because he was put in AP. I tried to explain to her that the other person I spoke with told me that for a K-1 you have to go a step further to see the actual status of the visa and that I had been told repeatedly that the visa had been printed on March 24th. Of course, this lady said that she WAS going that step further and that they were not allowed to tell us when the visa was printed and that it was wrong. She was very snotty. So I called her an idiot, hung up, and proceeded to break out in tears right in the middle of AT&T. Yes, customers around and everything.

So once I calmed down(thanks to my wonderful co-workers), I called back. And after holding for 25 minutes I got to talk to someone who actually knew what they were doing. She looked at it and said that it said that it was transferred, but she didn't know where or why(so that's still a mystery). But she also confirmed that we were NOT in AP and said that she didn't know where in the world the other girl got that from because it was CERTAINLY not on our file. I told her that I had been told before that our visa was printed on the 24th and she said she didn't see it, but then said "OH WAIT!! I forgot there's something else I can do!" and she looked at whatever that was and confirmed that it had been printed on the 24th, but that they had made a mistake on the visa(I'll go ahead and guess they misspelled his name since it is spelled with only one T), but that they reprinted it the same day. After that she saw no other notes. She was very, very, very helpful and was on the phone with me for a good 25 minutes researching everything. She told me to definitely contact my congressman because they should be able to get something done for me.

So now I'm at a roadblock. The only thing that I can do is let the congressman's office do their work and hope that they are able to get something done. :(

Maggie, I would suggest always calling back twice if you hear something that sounds wacky. I've gotten 2 people who didn't know what they were doing.

Oh great that your honey is starting english classes, I hope that it won't be too dificult for him.

You know, I was told G was in AP the same day he picked up the visa

As you're doing now, keep calling because I don't know what the heck they're looking at when they're giving you this information

Goodluck and I hope you hear better news tomorrow
