Maggie, still not sure yet, I'm tired of looking at the sticks to see 1 line but then I'm 2 weeks late. I really wanna know but my doc is booked until Tuesday. Lets see what happens. I just wanna get the wedding over with because I'm gaining weight and I ripped my dress a little trying it on

So far it's May 1st and I hope I don't gain any more weight by then because I have a killer APPETITE!!

Frenzyheart - IM GLAD YOU HAVE A SPONSOR - enjoy the visit!!

Congrats on the approval!!! Trust me, I'm ecstatic, too! I'm hoping that all the paperwork will be together when we go over there tonight, but I know that we'll have it before the interview no matter what. So far, I gotta say I'm enjoying being with him, again, too. I don't really think it's set in yet that ... this is it; I don't have to say goodbye to him again. I'll be with him here until Sunday, and then in Canada until his POE's in August.

I sorta feel like I'm dreaming, to be honest.

Really exciting to hear about possible babies, too! I'm rather immune to the baby dust, at least for now...

Okay, as I said I was going to do up review for our thread, as I know theres a few still waiting for interview. Kayla, I want to thank you for all the information you provided me, cash amount, what side of the door, papers to have ready and where it was located. It really helped make it go smoother and for me to be prepared.

Arrival:

- 7:05am at the Embassy and I was second in line, but soon became first, as the lady in front of me said she was waiting for someone and left. I was also standing on the left side, as they open the right side door to take you in.

Entry:

- 7:30am they opened the doors. I had my interview letter opened to the last page with my name and appointment date/time as well as having my passport ready for the guard.

He told me to walk to the top of the stairs and wait. There is where he xrayed all my items, and gave me an instruction sheet to read. The instruction sheet lists step by step of how your day is going to go at the embassy, right down to the papers they are going to request and when you are going to be sitting and waiting. I enjoyed having those intructions. He gave me back my interview letter with an assigned letter of 'A' and told me to go downstairs and wait in the waiting room.

Process:

- 7:50am a Security Guard calls the first few letters and brings us up in the elevator where we wait again.

- 8:00am I get called to window 11. She asked for the following items:

- Passport and Copy

- Birth certificate and Copy

- Divorce Certificate and Copy

- Original Police Certificate (no copy)

- 2 Photos with my name printed on the back

- 2nd Intent to Marry Letter

- I-134 and Evidence

- Xpresspost Envelope

- Medical Records without the xray (white envelope)

(I think that's it)

Then she asked me to review the 156K documents I had submitted with Packet 3 to ensure nothing has changed and that it is all correct. After that I had to go to pay for the visa.

Payment of Visa:

- 8:10am waiting for window 14 to open. Paid in cash $131 USD - exact change. She was glad I had exact change because she could not open her cash box. She gave me a receipt and I sat down to wait again.

Fingerprints:

- 8:20 or so I get called back to window 11, where I give my receipt of payment for visa. I get my fingerprints taken and she tells me I have to change the 156K forms. The address for the United States, I had put that we will be provided base housing upon my arrival and they require an address. I gave them Kenyth's work PO Box # and that was acceptable. She told me to go wait for my interview now.

Interview:

- 8:30am or so I get called into Interview Room 7. I read the instructions which says when called to go to an interview room, you are to just enter, so I did not hesitate walking into the room.

In there the interviewer lady scanned my finger to verify it was me and made me take the oath.

It was a little blurry at first and I can't remember the exact order but I think she asked:

- Have you ever had any convictions or criminal charges?

- Have you ever applied for a visa before?

- Have you ever been denied or had any problems trying to cross the border?

- Have you travelled to the United States before this?

- Your fiance is a United States Marine?

- When is his contract up?

- You met online?

- You met in a video game? What video game?

- When did you meet online?

- When did you meet in person?

- When do you think you started dating?

- Do you have a webcam?

- Did you meet any other times?

- When is the wedding?

- When are you going back home?

She said, Based on the information you provided, I can tell you that you are approved!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

She was very friendly and asked me to thank Kenyth for serving for her Country. She also thanked me too as it's not going to be easy being a military wife.

She had told me she was from California, as she noticed Kenyth was stationed there before. She also told me that she loves Nova Scotia, and asked if I was going to miss it. I said yeah, a little. She said that I could always go back at some point. I said maybe lol.

She mentioned that she didn't see that there would be any issues or delay with my visa, but with the wedding date so close she told me that some have taken 2 weeks and wanted me to be prepared. I told her that we realized that and we're prepared. (Basically people are going to have a wedding party without me LOL)

She gave me an information sheet as well. Basically about working, how the visa works, adjustment of status etc. At the bottom it says Congrats on the engagement.. very cute.

Oh yeah, she told me my I-134 was way too big. She took a lot of it out and gave it back lol. I had employment letter from his commanding officer, military records, training, LES (Paystubs) for 6 months, bank statements for 1 year, tax returns for the last 3 years and Stock information.

I thanked her a lot of course lol and I was done before 9am.

Overall, I have to say my experience with the Montreal Embassy was fantastic. All the employees I had to deal with there were friendly, warm, and polite. Also, the person interviewing me was very inviting, and even though I was so nervous - her whole presentation made it very comfortable. I'm really glad she interviewed me.
