Well, I mean, it's legal and everything, you're just not supposed to come here with the INTENT. You can't cross the border and tell the BO that you're coming over to get married. They wont let you through. If you're already here and decided to do it, then that's fine. It's complicated, I guess.

Oh ok because it'd be the same situation if my fiance was to come here on a visa and we decided to get married, it wouldn't be illegal but if he was to tell immigration that he's coming to get married, they wouldn't let him through.

Unless of course he is coming on a fiance visa. Than you have to tell them you intend to marry, or you can get in trouble too. craziness.

Does anyone remember who it was that kept worrying about the fact that she didn't have a co-sponsor? Because while looking for the poverty guidelines I found this link that states you don't need to meet the poverty lines until you're ready to file for adjustment of status (aos)

That's true.. but I think it is that you don't need to meet the 125% of the poverty line or something like that. Hmmm.. you may be on to something, because that would definitely buy them some time. I think it was 4lovewelive.. but haven't seen her on here in a while.

I went back and looked at some old posts I had done about this, when I was first getting started. They way it was explained to me at that time was that you had to meet 100% of the guidelines at time of interview.. 125% at time of AOS. If you are using "assets" instead of income, then you need to have 3 X 125%

I didn't worry about it too much, because I didn't need to, but it would be nice to know exactly what they need at time of interview. If 4lovewelives fiance can qualify for at least the 100% then they can worry about getting the cosponsor later. It will give them a little more time!

So I might have a new kitty!!!! There's been this cat getting under our house and for some reason we didn't really think anything of it, thought it would go away. But because it pushed open the little door under our house our water line froze and we were without water for like the past 2 days. We've now sealed off the door so the cat can't go back under there, and so it's been hanging out on our porch all day long. It was STARVED. I didn't know it had been living under the house, I thought it had just gotten under there once or twice and would go home after it left it's little playground. The poor little thing is still sweet as can be though. She hasn't been really well fed wherever she's originally from, and she doesn't act like she's gonna go anywhere.

I've called all my neighbors, which are actually my family and they said it's not theirs. So I dunno. Maybe Santa left me a late christmas present!!!

But if it stays kitty will need a name since I don't know what it was called before. I'm thinking maybe I'll call her Mittens since she's got 3 white paws. I'll post a picture of her if I can get her to stay still for more than 3 seconds. All she wants to do is love on me.

I love kitties!!

Meanwhile, I've moved Kitty Poo in the house so that she wont get jealous of the other cat(and so the other can eat). She seems pretty excited to get to sleep in my bed, lol.

It sucks since I took it with my iphone but this was at still as I could get her!!! Poor thing has eaten 2 big handfuls of food! I'll have to get another kitty bowl tomorrow if she's still here.

Kayla you are too sweet! Sorry to say but I can't stand cats, they're the cutest thing but they're scary to me. Namr her VJ!
