Wow OBX...

I read the whole thing -- very nice and thorough, I must say. I always get teary-eyed (if any of you commies4christ read this and laugh :bonk: )

I imagine myself totally crying my eyes out if/when it's all done and they approve us. Out of sheer relief, really. My poor husband....

that interviewed in MOntreal... were there lots of interviews? Lots of windows? How long did it take? yeah, yeah, those of us waiting must drive the rest of you bonkers...

SOrry... just biding my time. EVery damn day feels like it's a week long. BUT, I am going to go visit my husband this long weekend and i have about 89lbs of ties to Canada with me.

Bear with me a little longer folks...

best,

Deanna

Hi Bern.

Yes, good luck to all of us!

And don't worry, I'll ask all the asinine questions -- I have no shame, really...

If I could get through the border to visit when I was 18 and 19 with NO ties to Canada, I'm sure you won't have a problem either. I even said I was going to see my boyfriend/fiance when they asked. o_o

But to be safe; bring strong ties; letter of employment; house mortgage, lease on a car; and your NOA1...just to be safe.

And be polite and honest, and confident in your answers. :)

Can't say about K1 but as a CR1, I've gone a couple of times and have had no issues. I'm set to go this THursday as well and I always bring a billion ties to Canada with me. Letters stating my return date for both my jobs, my tenants' agreement, letter from landlord, paystubs with the most current date on them, screen captures of bank accounts (Canadian) and a copy of the NOA2... so far, haven't had to use but I would never travel without them.

I answer the guard simply and honestly and if the need to extrapolate arises, I'd never lie... .

Nope! I'm going to visit next week and we sent in our I-129F in February, still don't have my visa. I usually bring a letter from my boss saying that i have to come back or I'm fired basically and my NOA's to prove that we're doing it legally. They've never asked for my ties to Canada documentation, but I bring it just in case.
