can someone tell me about this woman. i'd like to know what my fiancee and i have to look forward to when we have our interview :(

she was brought up when i asked this question:

"okay guys, here's the deal we may have inadvertently lied on our k-1 paperwork.

the very first time my fiancee visited me (this was like, over 8 years ago) he was sent back at the border because the ins felt he didn't bring enough paper money with him to be in new york for a week (eventhough he had his bank card with him and he was staying with me, therefore not needing a whole lot of money anyhow).

he went home, went to the bank, pulled more money out and came to visit a day later without further incident.

he's never been denied at the border again.

on our paperwork we put he was never denied entrance to the u.s. because, frankly, we pretty much forgot about it because it was nothing to us.

is this going to come back to bite us?

really. really. worried..."

Angry lady? I'm not really sure I've heard about her... But I supose anyone can be angry if you get them on a bad day! The woman interviewing us was actually quite pleasant. Rigid and serious but still rather pleasant. However the person who was intereviewed by her after us was saying how mean and judgemental she was... So it probably just depends on how hard you make her job that day?

Oh yes, the infamous dark curly haired tyrant at MTL. I'd heard about her many times here in the Canadian forums, then got the opportunity to witness her temper first hand when I was in the Montreal Consulate. She was putting a man with a heavy accent through the ringer for missing a document that he needed. She is um...different, but most likely you won't even have to meet her since there are a few windows (can't remember the exact number,) you can get called up to, which means your chances of having to deal with her are pretty small.

If no one else suggested it in your previous thread, I would recommend making an InfoPass appointment, and just explain what happened and see what they say.

Well Tmix suggested sending a complaint letter after your interview. I was too scared to tell her my address changed too, so I didn't bother  She was middle aged, lots of makeup, dark curly hair

The ####### that I met at Montreal a slightly heavy set blond named Debbie. She was very impatient and also the one that noted in my file that I had been drinking before the interview, that got me a 221g very quickly.

I reported that one to the CIS Ombudsman and the Director immigration at the time Emilio Gonzales.

I kinda thought that too (if we're talking about the same lady here) until I dealt with her. She was angry from the moment she stepped up to her window, and I was her first "customer" of the day. But maybe she's not like that for everybody. Perhaps she just didn't like the cut of my jib?

Oh yes, the infamous dark curly haired tyrant at MTL. Haha she yelled at me too because nothing on my form had changed and apparently I verified the info too quickly for her liking.

To the OP, my full experience with her can be found here. But don't even worry about her. Even if she's the one who ends up reviewing your forms before the interview, just be as polite and diplomatic as possible. When you are asked about the border incident, just be honest about what happened and about the fact that you forgot about it when you filled out the form.

your experience was very informative and interesting! thanks for writing all that out! thank GOD that crazy lady was not the one to interview you. it sounds like you got lucky with your interviewer :)

since i filled out the paperwork, i want to be the one to explain the situation, but i don't know how the consulate feels about sponsors/fiancees yapping away. should i ask to clarify right away or wait until they ask if he's ever been turned away? ugh...

anyway, thanks again for sharing your experience...very helpful!

My husband did more talking at the interview then I did! I really wouldn't bring up the mistake on your petition unless you're asked about it. If your interview is anything like mine, they tend to focus a lot more on the DS 156 and the answers you provid there, opposed to flipping back through the old I-129F. So theres a good possibility they won't notice. Really, its just a honest mistake!

She isn't the case worker or the person who conducts the actual interviews. However, she is a gatekeeper and holds enough clout to make things difficult. She is the one who collects the paperwork when you are initially called up. We had her. It was like she wanted to get pissed at something, but then would find the paper she needed. Good thing my wife was extremely well prepared.

True story. She is ugly, possibly single, underpaid, and stupid. BUT she has power. and power, to someone in her condition, is a dangerous thing. She was the reason our adored friends Ron/Sharon were denied on the basis of her idiotic "judgment".
