Hi there. this is my first post here. I wish to collect some opinions from you all. So, we have sent out the K1 visa application back in the first week of July. We provided everything( we thought we did) and even had the lawyer reviewed all our documents. Then today, I was browsing through the posts here and realise that we need to have a copy of passport stamp to prove the actual 'meeting' for the passed two years. Well, I stayed in US under J1 and F1 visa before, that's how I met my bf but we didn't include the passport stamps. We just included our photos as the proof of relationship.

So, I am in trouble now? can I just send the passport stamps or the copies of my passport to the CSC right now? Is it possible to do that? or will need to wait until we get the RFE or whatever notice? I don't keep any air ticket coz I flew too many times for the passing two years, everything went into trash can.

Can I just send in more documents right now? I am really worry about the delaying of the whole process.

please advise. thanks.

Not everyone can include passport stamps. I'm from Canada and they don't stamp our passports when we visit they just look at it. Pictures may be enough evidence but there is nothing you can do about it now...you'll just have to wait and see. If you do get an RFE it doesn't delay the process that much because they just keep your file on hand and when they receive your reply then they reopen your case and continue. Some people have had their NOA2's 10 days after getting an RFE.

Welcome to VJ.

Its been said that photos are secondary evidence.

That being said passport stamps, boarding passes, e-tickets, ticker receipts, hotel receipts, ATM withdrawals receipts...basically anything to prove you two were in the same state in the same country at the same time is primary evidence.

You should not send it now, it would only get lost. It looks like you will have to wait for an RFE and have it ready in hand when you get it to send out immediately.

N-400 Stuff:
07/02/16 : N-400 sent

07/11/16 : NOA1

07/28/16 : Biometrics

04/03/17: Interview (approved)

04/14/17: Judicial oath ceremony

I wonder if baggage claim stickers with the date and name of petitioner count as evidence. If it also lists the destination. What do you guys think?

They are in our package, anything that shows I was there. I am not one to hold back anything remotely relevant. Basically I kept everything when I visited and when I got back I scanned them all into a pdf and keep the originals in a pouch.

moving right along

Hey there,

When we put our package together we was on the phone with them, the read off what we needed and not once did they say anything about passport stamps... The wanted pictures, emails... Phone bills etc... We was calling them all the time because I was unable to put my Father's place of Birth on my G-325a.. Simply because he died when I was young, and I have no way of finding out as he was an absent parent even when he was alive.. They said that was alright.. As long as you have lots of proof for example pictures together and phone bills hotel receipts they said thats enough...

Do not worry, even if you get a RFE it won't take long for them to process the information... Fear not my friend we are in the same boat...

Good luck

If you haven't sent enough, you can only wait for an RFE - there is no point in stressing over it (even though you will).

Best of luck.

Please note - this thread is from 2 years ago. There is no need to respond as this particular situation has long since passed.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”
