Hi,

I am from Massachusetts and my Fiance is from Zagreb, Croatia. We are getting ready to submit the 129f packet. I find the website here to have lots of great information, it can be unclear sometimes what is required on the govt websites.

I am in the states now, and she is in Crotia, we have lots of pictures of us in Croatia together, what other 'evidence' is best to submit?

She will send me a signed copy of the 325 and a passport style photo, her letter of intent and will complete and sign an 129 with both our information and sign and send to me for signature.

Is there anything else she should send me for me to have all I need from her to add to my 325, letter of intent, passport/bith certifiate, and evidence of having met in past 2 years?

What is considered appropriate evidence of on-going relationship ?

Thanks and glad to be here!!!

You will initially need to provide evidence that proves you have physically met within the two years preceding the application. Evidence of this includes passport stamps showing you have visited her country during this time; credit card receipts for purchases made there; if you met in a third country passport stamps from both of your passports showing you were in the same place at the same time; boarding passes showing flight information verifying travel to her country during this time, things like that. Photographs are considered 'secondary' evidence that support the 'primary' evidence of dated official documents like passport stamps, hotel receipts, boarding passes, etc.

One source of good evidence for ongoing relationship is telephone statements showing regular communication between your two numbers. I am sure others will provide you with additional examples.

Good luck with your application, and welcome to Visa Journey.

Welcome, dinemo! My best friend is from Pula!

You need from her the signed I-325 (it would be prudent to get 4 copies, since it's not clear yet whether the new form only requires 1 or 4 copies), a passport style photo, and a signed letter of intent.

I assume you mean she's going to complete part B of the I-129F, and then send it to you to finish and sign. Her signature is not required, though you do have to write her name and address in her native script in section 16.

If she's ever been married and divorced, then you'll need a copy of the certified divorce decree, and certified English translation.

You don't need evidence of an ongoing relationship with the petition, unless you want to try to "frontload" the petition for the consulate stage. From what I understand, the consulate in Zagreb is not too tough, aside from sometimes being very crowded with tourist visa applicants. I doubt you need to "frontload" your petition. Just provide evidence you've met, since that's all that's required with the petition.

Don't forget the check!

You WILL need evidence of an ongoing relationship at the interview. Proof of your visits together (boarding passes, stamped passport pages, hotel receipts, photos). Evidence of regular communications of some sort - emails, chat logs, telephone bills, snail mail letters. Daily correspondence of some kind is a big plus. They aren't going to look at a pile of evidence (though it doesn't hurt to bring it - a big box might impress them), so cherry pick the best stuff to show them - photos, emails, chats, etc. that show two people in love.
