I was told it cost about $250 for a medical exam in Thailand, does anyone know if that is really accurate, or are there places that can do it for less? Just curious if I can shave some money off this expensive process thus far??

Thanks for your input : )

Depends on whether or not your fiancee needs any vaccinations updated. Rin had her medical at BNH in Bangkok in 2007; cost of the medical was around 2500 THB (about $70 USD), but the various vaccinations she had to receive since she had no proof of her previous vaccinations brought the total closer to 9000 THB (about $270 USD). Only two hospitals can do the exam in Bangkok; BNH and Bumrumgrad. I believe there is one in Chang Mai that is authorized, as well.

It may be possible to save on the vaccination part by going to another local hospital/clinic/doctor for the vaccinations, but we didn't want to bother with it.

Take a look at page 7 of this PDF. There is a list of medical facilities and their fees (that probably don't include vaccines.)

Medical exam fee in Japan is $250 at minimum. If you get all vaccinations, it goes high up to $500~$600.

I should have done my exam in Thailand!
