I have read countless things in the 7 months dealing with this, can someone please give me a shortcut answer.I love you all to death :)

I called today and got my mnl#,does that mean i can call that number and set up a appointment?Or does that mean its just there in nvc doing its thing?I know there is a big delay on when you get a letter in the mail.Saying its been forwarded bla bla bla.

Our time line for CR1 visa took only 5 months and 1 week or 156 days; from the filing the I-130 on the 03-12-2009 to Approval of NOA2 on the 05/13/2009, then Interview on the 08/18/2009 at Manila, Philippines. We had a daughter on the 11-12-2010 named AISHA JOY means HAPPY LIFE.a1_opt-1.jpga2_opt-1.jpga3_opt-1.jpg

With the NVC call them every couple of days to find out when they forwarded the package to the USEM. Usually it takes 1-2 weeks from the time they got it.

With the MNL you can get the Medical done. Actually you can do it with the NOA2. So either get the NOA2 or the letter from the NVC that they will send to USC and is probably already on the way.

With the MNL number you can also pay the USEM Visa fee.

Once the package is sent to the USEM then give it week and start calling the Interview line to setup the embassy.

At this point you should already be working on finishing your forms for the USEM.

Your K petition approval will normally only be in the NVC for 3 to 5 days before it is shipped to the USEM. It takes about 3 to 4 days to get the petitions to the USEM once shipped. The USEM usually takes about a week to record the petition into the computer. Once your petition is logged into the computer you can make an interview appointment.

lThere was a few posts on how to track the shipment if you are interested and want to do a VJ search.

WHAT TO DO NOW AT MANILA EMBASSY:

Don't wait on them to send you anything or you may get old. Go to this page and learn all you need to...Call them and see if they have your package yet and set an appointment.

http://manila.usembassy.gov/wwwfk1en.pdf

This page is about Setting Appointments:

http://manila.usembassy.gov/wwwh3238.html

Has she/he got all the paperwork ready yet, is the medical done.

Go to StLUKES send her a copy of the letter from NVC, email or mail your choice: it's walk in so don't worry best to go Tues-Thurs to avoid rush.

Medicals are valid for 6 months. Info about medical is at the wwwfk1en.pdf link above.

Check this site for more info on the visa process in Manila:

http://manila.usembassy.gov/wwwh3023.html

Check up on the CFO seminar he/she will need either before or after but definitely before he/she can LEAVE the country Look HERE:

http://www.cfo.gov.ph/emig_manila.htm

Hope this helps...Good Luck
