RECEIVED NOA1: QUICK QUESTIONS

Two quick questions for you guys. I recieved my NOA1 about a week ago. But I just want to make sure.

1) My beneficiary's complete name isn't spelled out on the NOA1. For example, say his complete name is John Michael Smith. On the NOA1 it only states Smith, John M. without spelling in his complete middle name. Is this okay? Or should I call them up?

2) On the received date on my NOA1 it says June 23, 2006 which is the date it was recieved. However, when I log into the uscis.gov website to check the status it says that my recieved date was June 30, 2006. Has this happened to any of you guys? It's a difference of a week between both dates, I'm guessing it may have been a small error they made.

Any ideas guys?

10/17/07: AOS interview in Los Angeles -- APPROVED, pending name check :(

02/08/08: Name check has cleared, Notice welcoming new resident is mailed out

02/12/08: Card Production ordered, woohoo

02/15/08: Notice welcoming new resident is received

02/21/08: GREEN CARD IN HAND

08/23/08: After 7 years together . . . Religious wedding ceremony and HUGE PARTY in Jalisco, Mexico (we deserve it)

08/24-08/30: Spend our honeymoon in Acapulco, Mexico

Hi there, am not sure about the name but in my opinion it sounds ok since they just put his middle initial..

The received date on my noa1 was not the date they entered online either....My difference of the dates was just a few days..I am guessing it was just a small error...I wish I had more information to give you..Hopefully other members can explain why this happens..my guess its just an error on their part and am sticking by what it says on the NOA letter!! Good luck on your visa journey!!! :thumbs:

Welcome to VJ, the middle initial is ok, mine my fiance has a middle name also, and they just used the initial. As for the status date, that date will change on a regular basis. Each time USCIS looks at your case, or does something on your case , that case status date will change, or maybe we are not talking about the same date? I hope this helps.

8/14/06- NVC sent petition to Consulate

8/25/06 - sent packet 3 back to Consulate

8/27/06 - got confirmation email from Consulate, they rec'd packet three

8/27/06 - requested interview date via Consulate internet site.

9/1/06 - Checked internet site for interveiw date, it was there

9/25/06 - Interview date - APPROVED

9/28/06 - Visa in Zaeems Hand - YEAHHHHH

1/6/07 - leaving for USA

1/20/07 - Wedding Date

1/20/07 - MARRIED!!!!!

2/10/07 - rec'd certified copy of marriage license

3/13/07 - AOS package rec'd at Chicago Lockbox

3/20/07 - Rec'd Social Security Card

3/21/07 - Checks Cashed and Case Status online

3/24/07 - NOA1 Rec'd for AOS and EAD

3/27/07 - rec'd Biometrics appt letter - scheduled for 4/20/07 @ 11:00am

4/02/07 - "touched"

4/20/07 - had biometrics appt.

4/21/07 - rec'd letter stating case was transferred to CSC

5/22/07 - rec'd Case Pending at CSC email

6/25/07 - EAD card production ordered

7/7/07 - EAD "touched"

7/7/07 - AOS "touched"

8-6-07 - Rec'd EAD Card in the Mail

5-20-08 - AOS INTERVIEW - APPROVED - PASSPORT STAMPED

7-2-10 - Received 10 year green card in mail

Hi, you might want to change your signature to reflect that NOA1 6/23 date, not the 7/7 one...

You misunderstood what I said or maybe I made it sound confusing. But my package was received by CSC on 6/23 and my NOA1 was received in the mail on 7/7.
